The synergy with boonkin/ele/arcane is just too good to pass up. I have a similar setup on one of my mixed groups ><
I used to run Pally (tank), mage/warlock/shaman (dps and priest healer.
I swapped out the priest for a druid and never looked back. Druid healing is ridiculously easy. I have wild growth on a click sequence tied to my dps button and use a repeater region in ISBoxer for manual healing. I'm over geared now for most heroics, but I hardly have to actively heal with the super fast refresh of WG. Its virutally 100% up.

Nevermind... realized I already posted lawl.
EVE Online Get Ships. Train Skills.
I run my multiclass team with:
Paladin - Prot
Druid - Boomkin
Shaman - Elemental
Mage - Frost (normally, though have an arcane offspec i can use, team never runs out of mana when mage is frost though)
Priest - Disc
I'm going to live forever, or die trying.
5 Shaman Northrend Heroics - My YouTube Channel - Details about my setup (outdated)
T2 Heroics: lvl 80 Heroics wearing lvl 60 armour
Running 5-6 accounts on one computer, currently playing Horde on US-Skywall.
My main teams:
5x Shamans lvl 85
5-class team lvl 100: Paladin, Druid, Shaman, Mage, Priest
I used a druid to heal before. What I hated about the druid is the fact they have no group healing other than wild growth and tranquility. With my priest I have a macro to cast circle of healing everytime its off cooldown. Then he has prayer of healing which rocks for group healing. I have holy nova tied to my taunt button so if I am taunting the group gets an aoe heal if someone is on them. Not to mention I aoe dps with holy nova on lots of stuff plus use it to heal on the run if needed. I think the priest healer is > druid. Not that the druid is bad I just think the priest offers more stuff over the druid.

I am running a warrior, druid, mage, priest and warlock. My dps trinity is boomkin, arcane and destruction. My arcane out dps the warlock and boomkin.
What I am strongly considering is respeccing the boomkin to resto for heals and the priest to shadow. I believe I could get more dps out that way. I am going to give that a test.

Warrior - Warlock - Druid - Priest - Mage
Adamus - Azzeddar - Elistriel - Jazeela - Zimrinauth
Yeah, I don't have a real good point of comparison since I basically geared my team up with a Holy Priest healer (holy nova spam was a staple) and then switched to the Resto Druid.
A ton of incomming party damage (unexpected) can be hell on the Druid. However, the beauty of not having any cast time to get a non-tank back up from a momentary drop in health (aggro loss, special ability, etc.) is very very nice. My priest would have to Flash Heal which was quick but not as quick as tossing 2 hot's and forgetting about things.
They're probably pretty close in utility at the end.
