Default Sizing up a new machine, want advice!

So Im deciding that I would like to house my 4 shamans on there own seperate machine so i will be using my druid on my main pc and on my alt pc using my 4 shamans. The system im considering is the following
    Intel Core2Duo E6850,
    n680i SLI,
    4GB 800MHz RAM,
    320GB SATA2,
    2x8800GT 512MB SLI
Basically would running 4 monitors on this machine work fine or would i be having to bumb down the graphics, also has anyone had any luck running 4 monitors on the same machine with horizontal span or whatever how does that work?

You're probably going to have to disable SLI to run 4 monitors - both cards in non-sli mode. The rest of the machine is fine to run 4 alts. I'm running 5 accounts on 1 machine that is very similar, but with only 1 8800GTX and 2 large monitors.
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

Intel Core2Duo E6850, Do you have your midn set on this chip? I run the q6600 with the 680iLTsli and am very happy with it, and I am a AMD fanboy. Make sure you get a beefy powersupply for upgrading. I went with a 1000w (overkill) but I will never worry about not having enough toughpower 750w from Thermaltake is perfect.
70 Warrior main 70 Lock add 70 Mage add 70 Shaman add
Team Sick and Twisted. 5 lvl 21 shamys. :P

I tried this with the 8800GT and I had to run Non SLI for 2 so yeah you will have to run Non SLI on both. (for now)

My current cpu is an amd4200x2 and i too am a fanboi of amd, but after the excessive reviews and comparrisons I realised that i made the wrong choice. The q6600 is the same price as the e6850 so I think it maybe a better choice to go for the quad.

    Always go for the quad-core.
For the money, there is no better chip out there at the moment.
