The proc from the wep makes it best until level 85 anyway, which will take as long if not twice as long as 70-80.

That is a lvl 85 epic btw, but I guess you are talking about Shadowmourne.

Stats will change on pre-cata gear, so it's very possible that Shadowmourne will evolves into something that competes with the level 85 blues, or ealry epics.

The tier 10 conversions and such are already done btw, on the beta realm shadowmourne is the same but the armor pen is changed to mastery.

however if this Beta is anything like the ones on the software my company releases, the stats are going to go around the moon and back before release :-)
