Thanks to a tip from svpernova, I was able to fix the problem with my copy of Carbonite after patch 3.3.5.

open your carbonite.lua file with notepad. Select the "Edit" Tab in Notepad, which opens a drop down box. Select "Replace" from that drop down box. In the "Find" text box type "ChatFrameEditBox" ... caps are important. In the "Replace" text box type "ChatFrame1EditBox" ... again caps important here. Select "Replace All" and you're done. No more bugs unless you have a conflict that has nothing to do with the patch.

If you run into issues, or you totally break Carbonite, just delete it and redownload. You can find this fix in the WoWInterface Carbonite Addon "Bugs" forum.

    Heres a link http://www.wowinterface.com/forums/s...44&postcount=8

Notice that in this link the post gives line numbers. It happens on other lines as well so you're better off just replacing them all.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for this. While we're talking about Carbonite, I have had a longstanding issue where the Carbonite mini-map seems to intercept keystrokes from ISBoxer. Has anyone else noticed this, or can offer a suggestion?

For example, Carbonite highlights a radius on the mini-map whenever the ALT key is held. Useless functionality if you ask me, but I can't figure out how to turn it off, and it interferes with my keybindings.

I've noticed when I hold alt it shows peoples names on that map, but not highlighting any area.

Mine does what Rusty's does. However, it doesn't seem to interfere with any key passing. I have have many keybinds tied to alt, but haven't noticed any conflicts. There might be a way to turn it off in the options menu. I'm at work now so I'll see what I can figure out when I get home.

Maybe it's my imagination, but I'm convinced that sometimes bindings passed from ISBoxer don't function on my Slave toon due to the FTL modifiers interfering with Carbonite. I'll keep an eye on it and report back if I find anything. (Incidentally, assigning all the keystroke options under "map" in Carbonite to none doesn't seem to help.)

Ok, after putting this on the backburner I was forced to figure it out today. Turns out I have been blaming Carbonite erroneously - many of my keybindings didn't seem to be working with ISBoxer because "Auto Self Cast" was selected in the GUI! Ugh - how much time wasted?

There must be an FAQ somewhere that recommends boxers turn that off; I know I'll be noting it for the future!
