Default Considering taking a long break. Major burnout.

I'm hardcore burned out. Got my pallys pvp geared and did some arena and now i'm just like "the fuck" and feel there isn't much to do. Most of my friends quit, so it's no fun going on wow and not talking to anyone or anything. I'm considering stopping boxing for a while and playing a single toon and just using all my boxes to do professions in cata or something. I'm not quite sure what i want but i know it's getting to the point where i need to stop or take a break for a month or so.

I quit games a lot and come back quickly, but i'm not sure that is the case here. I find PVP fun, i dunno why but i feel obligated to play all my toons now, which isn't a good thing >_> Whatever.

    Excuse this rant >_>

It's OK. Remember every other game you've played that you didn't play forever. There is no shame.

I'm finishing GTA 4 before Fallout: New Vegas takes over my gaming time, and painting Warhammer miniatures for my Elite Nerd badge. And wishing I hadn't paid for 6 months of WoW in advance, but whatever, it's there if I want it.

Well I think pretty much all of us spend more time on WOW than would be deemed healthy. I take breaks too and the game is always 100 times more fun when I return. Something that always seems to hang over my head is that I have to play since I pay for my time. Like I'm wasting money or something, lol.

Always remember the game and your characters will be there and aren't going anywhere.

Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!

Considering how much you have done in a relative short amount of time, I dont think anyone here is surprised. Its tough when people first start out boxing, they want it all. Either for pvp or mix matching for pve everyone ends up wanting 5 of all classes. I almost did the same but I got burn out around my 4th team through, I am just happy one of those teams was a mixed team which gave me alot of the choices I enjoy now. After wanting to gear up all my characters I realized it was just too much of a time commitment/grind.

After spending alot of time practicing I have become pretty good at 2v2 and 3v3 and my guild sometimes lets me bring in my 3 dps (2 ELE/ 1Disc, shadow for raids or my lock) and its been alot of fun. Once I was able to figure out what I liked and what I enjoyed playing then it became more fun and less like a job. It also became easier to become a better boxer when I only devoted my time to these setups. Setting macros up and spending the time to make sure they are efficient takes a while and after you have done it so many times before, if they dont work first time it gets frustrating very quickly.

In my opinion, take a break and think about what is your favorite part about boxing and then your favorite classes and just concentrate on those.

I have been boxing since BC off and on though. So it wasn't exactly my first time, i guess it was my second time taking it truly serious.

Take a break. It's summer time and you should be at the beach chasing whatever fancies you.

Not surprised. You strike me as the type of person that needs a goal to reach and you push everything else aside to reach that goal, once you're there and the high wears off your not sure what to do next.

At least thats how it comes across by the way you post and how much you've achieved in only a few months.

If you take even a small break for a couple weeks you will feel refreshed. WoW can be very much like a job. Its something you do on a very regular basis. You simple just need a holiday from the same kind of fun and you need to find something else to do.
