    Default ISBOXER pet attack

I have just started using ISBoxer and have/had lots of questions. Ualaa's post on setting up ISBoxer helped me immensely! One thing I am wondering is pet attack. Is there a way to say "as a warlock, I have a pet, when I DPS, have the pet attack?", or just make a macro that says /cast chadowbolt /petattack. I thought the whole point of ISBoxer was to reduce the number of macros needed. (I am coming in from using keyclone for 2+years and have a lot of macros )

I'm not sure a strength of ISBoxer is a reduction of macros, but instead a more elegant way to handle the macros. Through automatic FTL, and the ability to use toon names as variables for mixing teams around, macro generation is significantly easier with ISBoxer than without. However, you're still going to need a macro that incorporates pets attacking with your spells.

If you put your pets on defensive, they will attack automatically one you open fire on your target. If you have a higher level mob that you want to tank with a voidwalker or Felgard then you will need to add in a petattack line into your macro to allow for the pet to attack before you open fire.

You could very easily add this to your dps macro wise or you can very simply just key bind a key for "pet attack"

Yeah, and don't forget to map a key for a /petpassive /stopattack for the locks and hunters.

I'm currently boxing 3 locks. I'm using a N52 and a Naga mouse along with ISBoxer and Jamba. I have the Ctrl+(1,2,3 ..etc) keys tied to the pet bar. Ctrl +1 is petattack. I also have /petattack as the first line in my dps macro. I have my pet's on defensive as mentioned above. When I need to tank a mob before I dot, I just "target/ ctrl+1" and all three pets take off after the mob.

Be careful tab targeting because you might not like the outcome. What's nearest to your main may not be what's closest to your slaves... then it's voidwalkers gone wild. If I see them taking off for some other mob I just ctrl+2 and bring 'em back. Sometimes it's too late, so I'll sac them and wait for the pain.

Up to this point I haven't had to write many macros. Just the standards mainly, but then again, I'm boxing same class / same race. As far as ISBoxer reducing macros... think about having to write all the FTL macros yourself.... mistake free. That's a ton of macros you don't have to write because ISBoxer does that for you. You're always going to need some macros, but right now I'm using only 2 with my locks @ 58. One is my "big button" macro, the other is my dps macro. The rest are keybinds, and a few custom FTL keys for round robin fears and formations. When they start raiding and doing heroics, I'll switch to Fur's destruction lock click macro set up found in the Wiki.
