FRAPS? Movie editing?

Those who make movies - what program are you using to record your videos? FRAPS?

What, if any, editing software are you using?

I tried FRAPS but it wouldn't do on-the-fly codec compression and bogged my system down badly. Tried GameCam and it works like a champ. And for short videos where you don't really care about soundtrack and such, you don't even have to "post-process" them before uploading.

Depends on what you set it to. It has a ton of options for variable bit rate compression and other settings, so you can have a mix of compression rate versus resolution, etc.

I downloaded the trial version and it does great. It only records 45 seconds of video until it's registered, and you can't make any changes to quality and other features, but I was impressed with it so far.

Since WOW is down for maintenance, I recorded two different videos of me playing Titan Quest - Immortal Throne and the quality was great. Even when I changed it to view in full screen it wasn't too bad.

The 45 second videos were 100mb each which seems about right when recording this type of video.

It's also cheaper than FRAPS, I will check this one out when I get home and see how it goes.
