By far the most annoying boss ever to box. I honestly think they specifically made this a pain for us. After seing this boss, I get the feeling cata is just going to be worse. I really hate this dance dance dance wow game.

The constant flying, and the chain death grip crap, makethis encounter a quick wipe. Anyoone find a easy way let me know, i really hate this game lol. Every encounters gotta be some retarded dance class fight like this one.

Rofl... We think alike because I was thinking the same thing the entire time... Is this what to expect from Cataclysm? Noticed one of the dungeons to come has a light square puzzle game ala Dragon Age. You know where you have to move onto the correct lit squares or it's a wipe.

The difficulty of this fight seems to have 2 factors. Your group composition and how unlucky you are when you get flung around. Some of my guys were flung so far away- into the water, behind Ahune, or the other side of the elevated land so regrouping is a pain. If you get lucky though you won't get flung too badly. It's all about luck...

I've got much further. Gave up for a while to do the other Midsummer achievements then went back last night and almost got him on the first try then. 50k hp left on him then my healer got flung to China and wiped. Once the servers come up i'm confident I'll get the bastid down today.

Thanks for all the tips they've helped! I was also making some stupid mistakes as well... First one was I didn't know you could damage Ahune UNTIL he went into ice-core form. So uhh yeah you can imagine...lol. You should see how many adds are in phase 3, lol. The second one is the elites that do the major debuff- I've been letting them just run wild and not taking them down as a priority.

UGH- Just saw that patch 3.5 goes in today Hope my addons don't get too blasted...
