really big tip.. least for me i discovered this painfully after wiping several times post my initial successful attempt. kill the Ahunite Hailstone (big elemental) asap. it was killing me on the second phase as I was just running around not paying too much attention to it. didn't know it was the culprit and was hitting me for 3500 a tick.. just an fyi for those that already don't know.
"Patchwork should not be allowed in a BG"
Surprisingly, I managed to brute force it on my paladins with seal of light and click to move spam.
[edit] For pally or dk+pally groups just starting this or low on gear, here's my strat:
1) DPS seal (i.e.: not seal of light/wisdom) + Wings + kill the hailstone.
2) Switch to SoLight and run in circles around the edge of your consecrates smacking the bad guys as often as possible. Less important to kill than to keep moving to avoid spikes.
3) Switch to SoCorruption and DPS the core when it pops. ignore adds.
4) When core stops, wings and kill hailstone #2.
5) Switch back to SoLight and run in circles again, smacking the nearest ones and dropping aoe when available.
6) When core pops again, continue DPS on core.
7) ???
8) PROFIT!
For higher gearing or after you've done it a couple times, put up SoCommand or some other DPS seal and kill the first hailstone. Then go SoLight for adds. Then back to SoCorruption + wings when the core pops and it'll probably be dead before the second phase 1 starts. GL!

Sweet, thanks. I was going to try this method before seeing the video, but after watching, it is definitely the easier way to do it. The first kill I got was walking backward and dropping magma totems and the occasional Nova. There are many ways to screw that method up. Straffing is by far the easiest. Even if you get hit, you can IWT/pick up your guys, bring them back to the center and start the straffing again.
Start out by dropping the elite fast. Most of the time you can have it killed before the first frost patch shows up. As long as the adds are controlled and slowly killed, there isn't much damage. Used FR gear (same that is used in PoS) on the tank just in case and a FR totem.

Paladin Tank - Bubbleshox
Blood DKs - Deathshox, Warshox, Conquestshox, Famineshox
<Clan of the Red Dragon> - Malygos - Alliance
Just a tidbit to remember: if you're a melee team spamming follow/IWT, be careful not to have your DPS runaway and fall into the water. The wind adds will chain yank your tank back up onto high ground so they won't be able to follow you back up the ramp. :P

I move my guys out of the spike. faceroll every time.
EVE Online Get Ships. Train Skills.
By far the most annoying boss ever to box. I honestly think they specifically made this a pain for us. After seing this boss, I get the feeling cata is just going to be worse. I really hate this dance dance dance wow game.
The constant flying, and the chain death grip crap, makethis encounter a quick wipe. Anyoone find a easy way let me know, i really hate this game lol. Every encounters gotta be some retarded dance class fight like this one.

Vek'linash - Alliance
Morra -5 man PVE <League of Crafters>
Prank - Rogue - Solo Toon
PVP Druid Team - Boxone, Boxtwo, Boxthree, Boxfour, Boxfive. 2 Resto, 3 Feral
Personally I like the challenge. It would bore the shit outta me if all we had to do was stand and mash one button for our loot and the sense of accomplishment wouldn't be there anymore. I mean holy crap how excited I was to get glory of the hero by myself! As a single toon player the wow gods are going to ask us to do much more and as players we have to acknowledge that challenge and overcome it. Look at necha getting kingslayer lol I can't even get 3 of my toons in icc! Lol time for work! Will finish my rant later lol
Can't speak for melee groups, but for casters + pally tank it's free frost emblems. Frost resistance aura. Split up casters. Kill Hailstone (his aura hurts). Consecrate to gather the small adds. Casters dps Ahune. Run random caster back in range in case a spike pushes him too far away. Profit. Even with a group containing 2 frost mages (no dual spec, so they have to cast slow ass fireballs cause of his stupid immunity) it's pretty easy.
