I take it you haven't got it working?

    What is not working?
    No connection at all?
Connection but unable to pass key strokes?

We can certainly try to help even if we haven't got quite the same configuration... Be warned though I can crash a mac at a 100 yards.
Okay, sorry that I have not responded for awhile, I have been to busy. I was not able to set up some sort of LAN or Network with the Mac and the Windows, so that means Synergy doesn't work. I have resorted to 4 boxing on the mac for awhile. If anyone can help me set up a network/lan with these 2 computers, that'd be great!

How are they connecting to the internet?

I had Synergy running on both a Mac and PC a while back.

I did have issues where the Mac didn't want to control the PC, but the PC could control the Mac just fine.
Are you trying to run them over a WAN or a LAN? I was running mine over a basic home network. The Mac is a first gen 20inch Intel iMac.

I have since then upgraded my PC so I've switch to keyclone and 3 boxxing on one machine.

Okay, I'm a tech noob so bare with me. They are both running wirelessly, and receive signals from a Linksys Router. I have no idea what a WAN or LAN really is. I want to be able to set it up so that I can download files from one computer to another (preferably) wirelessly, and so I can run Synergy on them both and set it up to run from one keyboard.

Can someone PLEASE help me set up some sort of network so that I can do this? I have read various things, but I am stumped.

    Thank you!

I thought Macs were supposed to be idiot proof? :P

Seriously, go read up on setting up a home network. If you dont understand a term, look it up.

If you cant setup a home network, I really doubt your ability to Multibox.

Well, I've been multi-boxing fine on the mac, alone. But I would prefer to multibox on two computers. So far, I have read that you cannot set up a network on a mac and a pc unless you download something that will recognize the other computer. These programs are not well supported and not is much is known about them. Is there anyone who knows anything about htis?

As explained. You do not NEED setup a network between the two computers. They are accessing the internet via the same device, so they are already networked. You need to figure out their individual IPs, which you then need to input into Synergy.

    This is Basic.

I use a mac and a windows pc. It works pretty well with synergy. As Wilbur says, your wireless network is perfectly fine for synergy and wow.

Anyway, here's what I have. Synergy on the windows pc is the patched broadcasting version found somewhere in this thread here. It's configured with two screens (one for each computer), but no links. That way you can't use the mouse to jump between screens, but you get around the spinning bug. I find switching windows like that mostly annoying anyway.

Synergy on the mac is just the regular version. It's started with the following command: /Applications/synergy-1.3.1/synergyc -f 192.168.1.5 (where the last part is the ip address of the win pc).

If you want the mac as your main computer, you'll have to do it the other way around -patched broadcasting version on the mac and regular on windows.

I can't remember if I did anything else to get it working.
