    Default BlizzCon 2010 Dinner

    All,

It has become a tradition that we set up a DB.com dinner at BlizzCon. Seeing as how it gave me good karma in getting tickets, I'm starting the process. Previous years we have had it at the California Pizza Kitchen, which is within walking distance and has been able to accommodate our numbers. Unless anyone has other suggestions, I'd be for having it there again.

    Friday night at 10pm.

I will be getting there before 9:30pm to make sure our table is set up. While we have reservations, they are now telling me that they shouldn't have given them to me. They can still seat us, but they will not set up the table until I arrive. Please try not be much later than 10pm or we may end up losing some chairs.

Friends, family, and strange bedfellows are welcome to attend.

Please respond if you plan on attending, how many in your party including yourself, and which night you prefer.

    Meal PreOrders Update

If you would like to place your meal order in advance for our dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, you will need to get it to me before Wednesday, 10/20. By placing your order in advance you will spend less time waiting for your food after joining the group at the table. Simply look at the menu here: http://www.cpk.com/menu/ and send me a PM with your order and the name you want the restaurant to associate with that order. When you arrive and are seated with the group, tell the hostess you have an order placed and you should be set.

If you have any questions, please bring them up in the thread or contact me via PM.

The hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific Time on both days (Friday and Saturday).
Does anyone know if they actually do things till 10pm? Or, is it just whatever.

There is a "blizzcon" dinner from facebook on Thursday @ medieval times. (25 dollars a head)
If blizzard doesn't do stuff till 10, like run program or event, I think Friday would be good.
CPK sounds great, pretty laid back place with good food imo.

For me I have two in my party and will be there, regardless of date.

Looking over last years schedule (I knew saving those things would be handy) the events on Friday run till approx 9:30pm. I'm not sure what time the kitchen closes at CPK, but I'll try and call to see. The main thing is that there is contests on the Main Stage hosted by Jay Mohr (the man who knows less about WoW than Mr. T) from 6pm to 9:30pm, so unless we can get a large party in at 10pm, chances are we have to miss something from Friday night. I prefer Thursday, but it's not always possible for people to get in the day before. Perhaps we could have a pub crawl on Thursday and the dinner on Friday, or do we risk splitting people up to much that way?

Just got off the phone with CPK's manager and they could do a reservation at 10pm. They do recommend that we put orders in ahead of time so they can toss them in the oven when we arrive so that we don't feel rushed. They are open to 11pm, so I wouldn't expect to be ushered out till 11:30pm or so.

    Thoughts?
