Default My 4 Warrior and 1 Paladin team... [Outland EU]

Hey, haven't posted on here in a long time, but quick update from me. Got bored with my 5 lvl 85 shamans so made a new team...

Currently only level 36 (Alliance, Outland EU) however - my mind boggles me why I just didn't do this combo in the first place...

    Pros:
4 charges, i've got a keybind set up where, they all charge together (PVE) or one at a time (PVP) for chained interruptions until they all reach the target. It's great, throw weapon (x4) nearly one shots most things my level too.

Sweeping strikes is also paired with Thunderclap on the same button. Got a habit of using thunderclap when there is more than one target so my warriors will pop SS if they've enough rage, which, does rape when you've got the four girls smashing out mortal strikes on one target.

I really want to use cleave, but with the fact it now hits an ALLY, I can't bring myself to cleave one of my dudes four times, maybe i'll smash out a suicide button to sweeping strike then cleave if I know i'm going to die anyway.

Able to clear instances 4-5 levels below the recommended level, haven't managed to kill Princess in Maraudon yet, but will try again at 40 (35-44 instance).

    Cons:
I'm too used to round robin on tremor totems with my shamans, now when I get fear bombed at this level there isn't much I can do.

Not sure how to do my healing properly on my pally, I've got 1-5 set up with character-specific cast sequence macros, if someone has a better solution out there please tell me - it's been a long time since boxing properly with Keyclone (now on ISBoxer btw) so stuck into the old ways.

The whole running thing with IWT is annoying, so what I do now (in PVE) is stand my healer very close to the targetted mob, get the warriors to follow, then hit the rend button so they start attacking, move my pala away and they will generally stay there until the mob decides to leg it.

So yeah, my first melee team, any tips with this combo or with melee teams in general give us a buzz

Just so you know...Cleave strikes an ally of your target, not one of your guys. Glyph it to strike 1 more and aoe away!

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

I used to play Warrior in Vanilla and knew that was the case (but never since), however I thought ally on the tooltip was referring to a friend. Fuck!

Time to replace heroic strike with cleave

    Update sig, trololol!

Anyway, will be interesting to follow the team evolve =) GL
As for the IWT thing, just spam your follow button as soon as the target is dead, if your sort of close with your pala, they will all follow u so nps. If not just pick a new target and hammer away on the IWT (since the range on IWT is way longer than follow).

From what I've read, people use repeater regions mostly to heal. So you use differnent click combo's for spells and click on the target to cast said heal.

I think I've tried warriors for lolz, it's insane how much damage they do, nice going in the instances still though! Enjoy them!

Just blitzed through Maraudon and Scarlet Monastery and before you know it - ding, 40!

Gotta get up for work in four and a half hours lololol..

So you say repeater regions for clicking, eurgh! I hate clicking. I spent the best part of 3 years multiboxing on a laptop and never used a real mouse, just the touch pad and that was to move!

    Updated sig glows :P

I'm using Grid + Grid Custom Layouts + Clique for healing.
I have a repeater region over the first column only.
Which lets me heal the party from any toon.

I've also gone into the Clique settings and set the clicks to only apply to my Grid frame.
So I can still left/right click on a toon or their portrait in the target box for trading.

In mass pvp, I lead with the Paladin always.
So can click heal anyone on the grid frame.
In questing or whatever, which is only my five... I can heal anyone in my group, from any screen, without a massive repeater region.

So I was just coming on here to post about warriors and here is this post at the top of the list.

I am thinking about running a group with a warrior tanking, but I was wondering if there were any follow issues with charging / heroic leap etc.

Have you had any difficulties there?

Just have break follow and charge on the same key, different chars? Ofcourse it will break follow, but you can just regroup when stuff is dead.

Melee got IWT and ranged doesn´t need to follow.

    Or charge x4

That doesnt really fit my scenario (in my head at least) LB.

Imagine this. You're running a prot warrior tank. You have 4 guys following you (so theyre a ways back). You run up to a group of mobs. As soon as you're in range you hit your charge / heroic leap / whatever. This shoots you forward really quickly to the mob.

    Will this distance break follow?
