FFXI Boxing Questions

Hey All,

Haven't posted in awhile. I got bored with WoW, but I've missed MMOs and am now attempting to see what I can do with FFXI. I have a question, though.

I am just really curious to see if anyone has had any luck software boxing this game. I searched around on the forums, and there was lots of talk about boxing, but not so much about software boxing.

Also, I'd prefer to use HotKeyNet, but it would appear as if it has trouble sending the macro commmands that FFXI uses. (Basically you hold down CTRL or ALT and then press a number 1 through 0). I think it has to do with the CTRL/ALT portion of it. I'd be okay with using any software option out there, including paid-for ones, as long as it is confirmed to work

I'm open to all sorts of suggestions, I just want to get some feedback from people on their experiences.
What I don't want to do, if I can avoid it, is play with four accounts on four different machines, pressing the macros individually for each computer.

And while I don't want to necessarily pay for a hardware boxing setup, I'm open to all suggestions.

So has anyone had any luck with boxing FFXI? I know that the Windower program for FFXI may have some better way of doing macros which may tie in more easily with HotKeyNet. I haven't really investigated that, but not at my home computer right now, so figured I'd at least start a topic here to see what you all had to think about it.

I made it to about level 50 boxing a mixed group. Pretty fun, though finding leveling spots can be a bit of a pain. Fields of Valor makes the whole process much more enjoyable. I can't really help on the software boxing front, as I hardware box myself. Windower lets you do some awesome macros though. I had a 5 person skill chain going when I was doing it.

I tried recently to box on the same PC, it didn't work out well. The only way I've seen it done effectively is to have multiple pc's. I do know you can maybe dual-box or higher on one pc but the software needed was a bit fishy through the windower program, and it wasn't worth the time investment in my opinion because FF14 is in beta here soon and right around the corner.

If you do find out how to make it happen let us know but it might be more time than its worth.
