Or just add a "no resale for profit" clause to the TOS/EULA of the ticket. The big problem they run into is that it would only be enforceable at the door and by then the scalper has already made their money and the unlucky fan that overpaid would get screwed. It might lower chances that scalpers would try and sell the tickets in the first place, but that first year would suck when whatever percentage of tickets get wasted when scalpers buy them and can't sell them.

Personally, I'd like them to restrict sales to people who have purchased a Blizzard game or game time in the last year or had a Battle.net account for over a year. Have to wonder how many tickets went to Bnet accounts with no games attached.

Hell, I wish I had a good solution, but that would just mean more angst when they didn't do it
