Well I did find that blue post- it's just that I misinterpreted what was being asked by the OP. It was in the Cataclysm section but they were talking about the current MC loot table and how Earthfury Pauldrons are missing. Then a blue chimed in confirming they were missing but the Eye still drops etc...

So I guess no official word as of yet if original MC will still be there come Cataclysm.
