Default Zboard - Anyone know ?

Just a quick question for anyone who might know...

    I'm looking into buying the:

ZBoard Merc Gaming Keyboard / ZBoard Fang Gaming Keypad

... and wondered if anyone knew whether you can run them both at the same time or whether they share inputs. What I mean basically is they pretty much have the same "extra" buttons and im worried if I got both the "forward" key on the keyboard and the "forward" key on the Fang would both have to be set to do the same thing.

    Anyone have any ideas?

AFAIK the 'forward' key is just a remapped 'real' key, just like all the other keyboard replacements*. I'm almost certain that you can map just about any normal key to it. But it won't have the functionality of say an X-Keys.

*eg for a FPS it would be 'W'

I'm not sure you understoor what I meant exactly,

Both devices have "additional" buttons, but those additional buttons are similar. What I'm trying to find out is if anyone knows if you have the forward key mapped to W on one whether than automatically means the forward key on the other is also mapped to W.

    So does it do:

Keyboard extension forward key --- mapped --- W
    Fang forward key --- mapped --- W

    or can I have:

Keyboard extension forward key --- mapped --- W
    Fang forward key --- mapped --- P

as the second option is what I require but I'm worried it won't be possible

I have a Fang, it basically... kinda sucks for wow imo. I haven't really used it for multiboxing but I can tell you it's too light. when your hand is on it, the game pad moves all over the place. Also I found the number buttons to small especially if you play a class in which you have to spam keys. It would probably be ok for a caster class. I just couldnt get used to it with my rogue. Getting an X Keys Pro this week. Hope its worth the 220 bucks :S

Zboards suck. Keys don't even work well or are non responsive. Its retarded.

I have 2 Fang's. They mostly go unused. They do, however, work exactly as they were advertised for me. I was able to reprogram them exactly how I wanted to, and they have enough buttons that I can do all the functions I want. My issues are that it only has 1-11 at the top, so the Quick Save becomes the '=' key for me ... since I have my spells layed out in a 3x12 grid. It really is "too light" - I'll certainly agree with that reveiw, I just used 2 strips of tape in front of the front legs (the tape is flat to the desk, it just provides a "lip" so that the Fang can't slip forward) - that worked pretty well to fix that issue.

Overall, it goes unused though because the learning curve is too steep. While I can re-assign any button to do anything, the labels are all FPS-centric. In the heat of everything I was always trying to figure out what button had the remapping I needed. Was it "Bags" I set to drink? A lot of the buttons they had setup were really retarded too. Who needs their Social Pane available for easy access? It really felt like it was designed for "WoW lite" - someone who played WoW for all the wrong reasons ... and had 0 addons.

I have a Zboard and I have a g15 that I love its hard to go from g15 to anything but I have and do like the Zboard. It took me about a week typing to feel for where the keys are while typing but I think it works just fine. I tried playing Bioshock for the first time today with the Fps keyset up and fell in love with it almost instantly. It felt so natural for that game I cant imagine ever going back to the g15 for fpsers. Stratagy games I have yet to try. Supreme Commander I am not willing to test it out online I need to play a few skirmishes before I let someone have a crack at my rating
70 Warrior main 70 Lock add 70 Mage add 70 Shaman add
Team Sick and Twisted. 5 lvl 21 shamys. :P

Had the Zboard fang in a box for ages, finally took it out. Everyone raves about X-Keys Pro, but it's very spendy... XD

Zboard has 41 programmable buttons. Sounds good enough for me. Not the most ideal layout, but I'm gonna try it out. I currently 4-box locks on my Dell XPS M1730 laptop with its full-size keyboard. I'm going to need more keys once I throw in the pally. It's a steep learning curve, I think, to get used to the Zboard, but ultimately it will definitely help me micromanage the lock CC better.

Plus if I get annoyed with leveling, I can switch over to Call of Duty 4 or Counter-Strike:Source for some bloodshed.

    I'll keep y'all posted.

(I've got the Zboard and the Logitech G-15 lying around as well... I'll get around to trying them out once I get my XPS 600 desktop upgraded with the new ATI 4870...)
