    Default Action Target Groups?

I was wondering if someone can explain or point me towards exactly what are Action Target Groups. From the little explanation it sounds like it is kinda like making mini Teams inside of your already set up teams. Also if I make a keymap under this group can I put toons from seperate teams into it or would I need to make seperate ATG groups for each group of teams I have. For example: Lets say i have 15 toons split into 3 teams, and each of these teams has 2 druids in it. If I make an ATG group for a druid spell for them can I put all the druids in there and when I am running whichever team, the 2 druid in that group will have access to that keymap. Hopefully that wasn't too confusing. Thanks in advance for any help.

This is correct. For example i have seperate action target groups for "TANK", "HEAL" and "DPS". That way i can send appropriate action to specific group and only to those who actually need it. This makes switching roles within group easy.

I usually run with tank, healer, 3x dps, but with shamans i also like to run 4x dps when dedicated healer is not needed. I can easily swap my healer to dps with a push of a button, change action target group HEAL -> DPS and Voilà! my healer is now dps!

I also use Virtual Keymaps which makes swapping classes and roles even more easier.

Yes you can. I have 13 characters split between 3 main groups.

For example: Lets say i have 15 toons split into 3 teams, and each of these teams has 2 druids in it. If I make an ATG group for a druid spell for them can I put all the druids in there and when I am running whichever team, the 2 druid in that group will have access to that keymap.
Of course you can make ATG for each class if you wish.

I would also advise you to look into Virtual Keymaps. For example you can send Virtual-DPS-Dummy-key to your toons and each toon can assign their own DPS-keymap to that dummy-key. This way you don't need to worry if you're sending correct action to different toons.

I have separate ATG's for each of my assorted Ground Click (mouse broadcasting) hotkeys.
Between all of my teams, I have ground click effects on 4, 5, and Shift A.

I have three ATG's for these keys.
    - Ground 4
    - Ground 5
    - Grouns Shift A

My 4 key, in addition to all the normal stuff, also turns on mouse broadcasting (send next click) to all members of the Ground 4 group.
Ditto for the 5 key, and the Shift A mapped key I have made.

Not every member of each team will AoE (Blizzard, Hurricane, etc) on the press, but then the broadcasted click is only going to members of those ATG's.

I also use ATG's, for my repeater region based healing.
An ATG is the recipient of the click.

So when I move my mouse into the Grid frame and click, the Healer ATG receives the click.
I then have mapped keys, which:
    a) change a toon to their healer spec
    b) add them to the Healer ATG

So when I click the Grid frame for heals, the new toon now also receives the click.

Similarly, I can remove a toon from the Healer ATG.
And change their spec, on a press of another mapped key (or the same one, if I gave it multiple steps).

Okay now my curiousity of peaked. You can changed your toons from DPS to Healing or tank with a switch of a button. I am curious how you do this, This sound like something i would like to learn. is there any place where it shows how to set up these ATG, I'm not sure I fully understand them. Thanks for any help.

    Open up IS Boxer Toolkit.
Ensure the Characters tab is expanded (top pane).
Scroll down to, and expand Action Target Groups (still top pane).
Right click on, create a new ATG, call it whatever.
Left click on it (top pane), so it is displayed in the lower left pane.
Scroll back up to Characters (top pane).
Drag a character from the top pane, to the bottom left pane, which assigns it to that ATG.
This is the initial, on start up, state.

Expand Keymaps (top pane) and left click on one of them.
Right click on Mapped Keys (bottom left pane) and select New Mapped Key.
    Call it whatever.
Expand the Steps, click on the 1.
In the bottom right pane, right click on the Actions.
Select >> New Target Group Action.
    Choose the Target.
    Choose the Action Target Group.
    Choose Join or Leave.

You could easily go more then one Step.
So they can join/leave on press 1, and do the opposite on press 2.
You can also include Pop-Up Text, for the active window, to announce what step they're on.

When you have a mapped key, for example your DPS key.
You can set the target to a Toon, Slot, Character Set, Current Window, Other Windows without Current, or an Action Target Group.
Repeater Regions are the same, in that you can pick an ATG as the target, rather then a specific Slot.
    That's pretty much it.

You know how to set your ATG state initially.
You know how to use mapped keys to add or remove toons from slots.
And can set the ATG as the target of a mapped key.
