ICC Lower Spire Finally Falls

Well, my goal for the Memorial Day weekend was to finish up the Lower Spire and I was able to get it done!





WOOT!

Gunship was really tough. There are just so many things going on in that fight. Getting in and positioning the guns, jumping over with tank and DPS at the right time, keeping all the adds on your ship on the other tank, keeping everyone healed up when standing in the rocket blasts, just lots.

The big thing that kept me from doing it for the middle four hours I tried was stupid Saurfang's nerdrage bug where he targets someone that was on his ship *after* they leave and does his chain axes of death thing to them that is almost impossible to heal a clothie through. You can be in the middle of your ship and he can still be in the middle of his and he'll chain-throw at a clothie for 35K damage in about 5 seconds. Not fun with everything else going on.

Anyway, Gunship took about 11 hours all told, though some of that was strategy and messing with ISBoxer, which turned out to be a godsend on the complexity of that fight. Saurfang actually took more wipes than I would have thought - probably got him on my 10th attempt or so.

Saurfang's loot was DEed but Gunship gave one of my guys a Midnight Sun and frankly I wasn't as concerned with the loot this time - just happy to have Lower Spire down!

Doing loot boat on 4 is pretty easy, but I'm more interested in how exactly you did it 10man... Have to monitor 2 tanks, dps the ranged mobs, dps with the guns, and jump lol. Lots to do but grats Saurfang is like the reward for passing 10box loot boat

Yep, Gunship is crazy when you have to do everything yourself.

I went in with Pinot (another 5 boxer) on one of my other teams that wasn't saved - him with 5, me with 5. We were able to get Marrowgar and Lady down. But Gunship proved too much for us. I figured it would be much easier with two minds to throw at it, but even with that it is a LOT to pick up on. There is a significant learning curve even if you are only handling half the load. Pinot had never killed an ICC boss before though, so was fun to get a couple down.

As for the other bosses... yeah, I'll try some in the next couple of weeks. The main thing now is to get Lower Spire down consistently on all three of my teams.

With your team flexibility you should try doing Val with 8 healers and two tanks and just massive heal erg it :P

I think you will be able to down Vael and possibly Blood Queen / Princes...

Rotface and Putricide I just don't see how you can do it... Rotface maybe but PP will be a major PITA for you.

I hope you do progress further would be pretty leet to see a 10 box LK HAHA.

There has been a 10boxer to complete 2nd tier ICC already :P
