WotLK - Slave Pens - (SP) - Midsummer Icelord: 2010
Well thought I'd start a thread for this years Midsummer Festival- looks like there's a new pet and decent casters staff!
Anyway this is my first year to try and multibox Ahune and I'm about my 3rd wipe right now.My guys are getting tossed around like ragdolls making it rough... Any good strategies out there?

Not really any good walls around Ahune- or structures to even get hung up on. There's a cage behind him that I tried to use but didn't seem to work. Tried spreading my guys out which helped some but still by the second time he emerged they were flung all over the place. 5 wipes and have only got him down to 50%.Originally Posted by ghonosyph

I just tried this on my solo raiding charcter. The first half thge fight, the healer thought it was easy mode tank and spank, then he realized he had to heal. Tank just kept the adds busy, I burned the boss. I think I'd find this hard to deal w/ the adds and the boss multiboxing. I'm probably going to solo queue w/ each tonight for the acheivemnt. Ya I'm being cheap, but I'm tired of some of these fights just flinging toons everywhere.
i tried several things but found no tricks to prevent movement.
aoe tank and all chars on follow (not to close to the boss),
move if ice spot shows up,
recollect chars if they got kicked away.
on boss message move to boss and do your burst.
If your running with shammys its pretty faceroll, currently using a pala tank 3 shamans and a shadowpriest - fire elementals make p1 a doddle and if your t9 geared and running 4 dps you should only get one p1. It seems nearly impossible to avoid the throwing, i just chain heal every now and again to keep them topped up.
It seems going near ahune in p1 makes you take alot of damage. Keep away from him if you can.
2 caster cloaks down, 2 to go.
Yeah my guys have good gear 5200-5600 GSish. My team is a Paladin tank, 3 Boomkins, and 1 Resto Druid.
When I try to use their AOE/Hurricane they have to keep moving because of the spikes making it impossible to channel All the flinging around is my main problem because they are getting flung very far.. I found 2 of them later all the way down the first hall, lol.
I'll get it eventually- if I have to spend all my gold on repairs I'll do it :P Wasn't expecting such a challenge. Kind of the same deal with the Apothecary Trio from Love Is in the Air. That was a challenge and eventually got good at the thing. The new system is great at least I can try as much as I want.

Ah I dont have any moonkins so cant really give much advice on that regard. I reckon a quick wrath or two combined with round robin starfalls would keep them all under control.

After 3 wipes I suddenly facerolled it.
I ran in circles backwards with my shamans on follow. Dropped all the usual totems and kept renewing the magma totems when they expired. Every time I dragged all the adds past the fire totems, I would hit fire nova. Once Ahune retreated to his frozen core I'd hit a spread-out macro on my shamans so that they would break follow and face Ahune. My pally would then run up to the frozen core and DPS the core along with the shamans. Together with the bloodlust, I did about 6-8kl DPS per shaman so I got him down in 1 core-phase.
After that it was loot and done.
