Default Can't follow on non-epic flying mount?

My brother in law and I both two box, he just started. Transfered his warlock off his main account and onto his second. Neither character has any movement speed increasing effects, and both our computers are around the same, spec wise(He has a faster processor(2.6 AMD athlon x2)). I don't have a problem having my priest follow my warrior on my 60% flyer, but if my brother in law has his characters following each other, one always lags behind and stops following, usually in about 50 yards.

I honestly have no idea why it is doing this, any thoughts?

Hmm, for sure no movement speed buffs? Is the follower choppy/laggy at all?

Try having the first account following the second. When I was running 2 accounts on my AMD the second game would run a bit slower than the first.

Theoretically its because WoW needs to run at around 15 FPS in order for the follow algorithm to process properly.

    This is of course, conjecture.

Does the /console maxfpsbk affect this?? I have my followers running at 15 fps and once in a while one or 2 get left behind

Okay. Both chars run ~60 fps, right now one is in shatt and the other in AV. I already suggested changing the following chars and it didn't change anything =/

    Thanks for the help guys.

Would limiting the main's fps to say 30-40 and the followers to like 20 help this?

At the moment he isn't using any way to do that. That was my first thought too hehe.

Put a riding crop/carrot on a stick on the following character, but NOT the leader.

Due to inevitable lag, if you're always flying in a straight line eventually your /follower will kick the bucket. Speed increasers like riding crop help increase the time before it happens. Just make sure that you either make a few turns once in a while or stop every second or two to allow the /follow to ride your ass once more.

Suvega has 5 epic mounts now and without speed increasers on his followers, his characters get lots almost immediately.

...did I read that right, Suvega already has 5 epic flyers?

    Holy shit?

And as far as the breaking follow while flying xzin mentioned that this was a problem, and there is no real way around it, just mash that follow macro, add a speed increasing trinket on the followers, and stop every now and again to let them catch up.
