Default And She Calls Herself a Lady

Well, after wiping on her most of the week, I was able to get Lady Deathwhisper down!

She was tough - tougher than Marrowgar for me to get my first kill. In fact, I was starting to think I just couldn't get her down. After 30 or so attempts, the best I had gotten her to was 65% of her mana shield

But on my 31st attempt I got not only her mana shield down, but her as well.

After about 8 wipes on my 2nd team, I got her down again, and then after "only" three wipes on her, I got her down on team #3.
So I'm quite happy to have gotten six ICC10 bosses down by myself this week (Marrowgar and Lady each 3 times). With my mixed teams, I've been able to use the majority of the drops as nice upgrades as well.

Looks like I'll need them - I spent about 5 hours setting up for and wiping on Gunship. That one is going to be very tough as well.

Oh, then there is the ISBoxer boss - it has defeated me as well, and I spent more time on it than on Gunship. Looks to be a pretty straightforward and helpful piece of software, but I just can't get it to communicate reliably between my two computers.

    Thats beyond awesome Merc,

I would love to see some in depth strategy and macro explanations on your setup.

every time I see your posts I am damn tempted to get a 10-man team going, it looks so fun and rewarding (and extremely frustrating too!)

I'm certain that I'm not doing anything too terribly exciting. I downloaded Vuhdo so I could click-heal for the first time when I was trying to get Marrowgar down and tried using it for Deathwhisper but couldn't figure out a good way to use it without ISBoxer (which as I noted I haven't been able to get working). So I still only have two types of heals - "heal the tank" heals and "heal the team" (AoE) heals. Very basic stuff.

What isn't basic is the strategy and setup to overcome each boss. I have had to clear out bars 1-6 so I can use each of them for specific encounters. Here is what I use them for:
Shift-1: basic setup - trash and heroics
Shift-2: for solo toon play (if I decide to play a single toon in a raid - which I haven't done in a long time)
    Shift-3: for VoA
    Shift-4: for Marrowgar
    Shift-5: for Deathwhisper, and
    Shift-6: for Gunship.
Each of those encounters is different enough that I have to think through what each toon will be doing with the very limited 1 through 0 keys I have available. I spend about 3 hours thinking through the encounter and setting up the encounter-specific bars the first time I try a new boss. Then some more time tweaking as I wipe. Then when I find something that works it takes about an hour to set up the bars for the other two teams - basically trying to replicate it (with small changes for different classes I have in my teams).

So like Theradin, I have to claim lack of skill but an abundance of endurance. It is pretty exhilarating to get a new boss down for the first time, though. I've proven the ability to repeat my successes pretty quickly and with three teams to play all the setup and wiping time is still worthwhile. Lady Deathwhisper was especially cool because the kill came out of nowhere - best ever before then was down to 100% life and 65% mana shield? Really?

    Congrats on the kill!

You could set this up with mapped keys.
The Shift-1 through Shift-6 (or as many as you'd like).

    Use a Keymap State Action.
Assign a hotkey for each boss.
On the press, it will disable the Keymaps for the other bosses.
And load the keymap for the current boss.

    Something like:
Keymap State Action - Target: All Windows, Keymap: Trash & Heroics, State: Off
Keymap State Action - Target: All Windows, Keymap: VoA, State: On

If you wanted, you could even make this a round-robin effect.
Where each 'step' disables all of the other Keymaps, yet enables the next one.
Then include a Pop Up Text, to announce which Keymap is the active one.

Not sure on the communication between two machines.
I only play on one, myself.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

I was just about to post this samething. Setup keymaps specific to the bosses instead of redoing your hotbar. Then use Gkeys or something to toggle each boss keymap configuration. Add some cute little popup text so you know which hotkey mode you are in and then boom. Ya it's going to take you a long time to setup, but it will only be once and it frees up a lot of space for you.

Gratz on getting her down. I haven't really had time to make any serious atempts on her. I wiped like 5 times just trying to clear out the spider trash in her room. It was a lot easier once I figured out that I needed to spread everyone out. Once again I am out of town this week so hopefully I can give her a try next week.

As for the ISboxer boss..... I had a real hard time getting isboxer to work well with my 10 boxing team across 2 computers. What I would recommend is reading all the multi-computer guides on their website. Also you may just want to it up on 1 machine for a 5boxing team just to get a feel for the software.

I would say it prbly took me atleast 10 hours of config time to switch from keyclone to isboxer. However once you get everything setup its totally worth it.

Also do you need 3 healers for this fight?

If it works on one PC but not on two, you might report it as a bug or post in the ISB forums and get a discussion going about it if there isn't one already. I looked briefly but nothing in there talks about intermittent broadcast failures -- only binary failures (i.e.: FTL does not work at all on slaves unless you set up uplinks properly).

Nope, I just used two - one holy priest, one resto shaman. They are both focused on healing the main tank. In fact, though I went through a short phase of trying to use my OT during the fight, I ended up just having her follow around with the rest of the group and do absolutely nothing until almost the very end, where I have her take aggro till the debuffs drop off the MT in phase 2. I only have to do this once. In fact, I've solo tanked Lady in PuGs before - even with 5 stacks of the debuff, spamming pally Righteous Defense still works well enough.

I do have 2 ele shammies throwing out chain heals at certain times, but only two dedicated healers.

Thanks, Ualaa. As I was creating the last few bars I had the thought that ISBoxer could probably handle this more elegantly. I hope to get it working eventually and your comments will be very valuable, but after spending a few hours a day on it last week and failing I've decided to focus on ICC10 progression for now.
