First of all...
...these posts kinda belong in the 'New To Multiboxing Section' since they're questions that new multiboxers ask. If another new multiboxer is going to be browsing the noob section they might be looking for this exact post.

To reply to your questions...
...it all depends on what you want out of your team. If you're going to do any instance boosting then the original method you described isn't going to work. You can check out this video here...the section on linking accounts begins at 02:45...it touches on a few different methods.

raf bonus in your group basically don't stack from what I understand. I also don't think the artifacts, assuming your main account sent them to the toon leveling with the others, add anything else though not sure about artifacts on quest xp turnins...
