Default Deciding which main to play, warrior or priest

I have just setup triple boxing using keyclone. Manage to setup maximizer on 2 monitors. Warrior, priest and warlock. This setup is to help me get familarise with 5 boxing at later stage.

I am deciding which main should I control either warrior or priest. What is the advantages and disadvantage of playing warrior or priest as the main?

This is what I know of playing warrior as the main.... Advantages is since melee is harder to control in multiboxing, playing the warrior as the main will make it easy to do crowd control and tanking. Disadvantage is that you need to figure how to synchronise the key press with other casting chars for co-ordinating dps.

Not so sure about playing a priest, all I know is that I need a lot macro so that it can effectively heal the other chars. Any comment will be welcome. Thank you.

I can't even begin to think how you would manage to play with the priest main remote controlling a warrior. What happens when a mob adds on the group? The warrior needs to run over and taunt it. Even PvP, I would always control the melee character over ranged characters purely because the melee character is always moving while the ranged are staying put for the most part. For melee the target must be in melee range and they must be facing it, for ranged the target needs to be out there in front of them somewhere.

What does the priest have to do? Heal. Dispel Magic.

What does the warrior have to do? Sunders, damage abilities, positioning, taunt, shield block, shield slam, etc etc etc.

But purely from a positioning perspective I don't even want to think how difficult it would be to do from a perspective other than the tank's.

You'll get more out of playing your melee guy as your main. In PVP, you'll definitely want to have a different macro setup to make fast heals a priority, where in PVE you want mana/aggro efficiency.

I was thinking about that if I play the priest as my main then I might have problem on the warrior tanking etc.

The reason I have thought about using the priest as the main is that I read there are people who play the priest as their main, maybe different setup from me.

Thank you for the tips....I guess I should spent more time thinking on how to use macro for the priest healing and play the warrior as the main.

In regards to people playing a priest main.... that is when they have no tank at all.

The general order of main goes:

    Tank
    Healer
    Dps

Just because positioning is nearly impossible on alts, and casting is a joke with decent macros.

Yeah getting macros set for melee is just as easy for casters or healers but its getting him into range to hit thats a bitch. You can always macro stance dance and have 2 in combat charges and 3 out of combat charges. That would make it easier for you. I was thinking about how fun and challenging it would be to have 4 warriors Mace stun 1 priest for pvp. 4 warriors rushing in 1 right after another the first Heroic striking/whirlwind then the next coming in to stun the target, repeat kinda sounds sick.

Edit. this kinda gave me an idea. I am leveling a Paladin, with 3 mages and a priest currently to learn more about macros for later. I am going to make the paladin my main tank and respec warrior for dps I think its totally doable to have a warrior as an alt NON tank. I am going to love the debuff not to mention execute into the mix.
