Thread: healer LFW

    Default healer LFW

Faybearc here, thanks for the Ginvite. I leveled the last 8 levels using LFD, so I got a pretty good feeling on most of the normals I got to run. I just got into CoS and ToC, no ICC yet. I will continue doing normals for now. I would also like to try HCs and I am close I think.

GS 3K, SP 1200. All blues with a could purples and a couple crafted to be added. Dual spec Resto/moonkin. Better at healing.

I won't be boxing until I get the new system built, the 7600 is a little flakey.

I would say wait till you are in the 4k's of GS to try to heal HC. Not that you couldn't do it, but it would be tough, and the way people pull and chain pull, lower gear level healers really suffer the most when group with people that just want to blast through.

Keep at ToC normal and the others, get some more purps, even running naxx and uld is a great way to amass badges for quick upgrades. ICC normals are still a bit tough but easy enough with a group with half a brain.

Keep an eye on the AH, if you have the gold it has the gear... most of the time.

    QFT

Ran 1 HC and did ok, another turned into a wipe fest. Ran reg Cos and did fine, PoS was fail.

I am low on funds, so buying crafted will be slow for now, getting somethings from the mains like JC gear. Almost 450 JC myself, doing dailies for Dragon eyes. So you are spot on, with my gear, I can do what I was before hitting 80. and maybe some guild runs on weekends.

unless the entire group is under a 3k GS, a 3k gs healer will do just fine. Granted, more gear means things will likely go smoother, but you should be fine to farm away. Maybe even find a tank friend to que with. Hopefully someone in the guild needs to farm heroics. I always liked letting someone else heal my team while i tank/dps, much less stress.

MIght be some of the problem, tank skill. I might be better off warning thrm that I am new to HC also. Some like to go quite Fast without concern to mana and HP. Biggest thing now is when 2-3 get slammed at once. My big heals take time, on 1 it is ok as I have some tricks. At least I am not learning the fights as I go along like Deadcattle was.
