This was an interesting evening. Based on what I saw, read in guild chat, and read on the thread above, I'd like to offer this abbreviated play I'll call "The Death of Refuge Point." (Since I'm not really a playwright, I'll just forego the "Scene BLAH; so-and-so says, 'Oh, Rhett, whatever shall I do? Wherever shall I go?" crap.)
ACT 1
--> Some 34ish nooblets from Je Me Souviens were questing in Stromgarde
--> Some 40ish hordie nooblets killed JMS nooblets
--> JMS nooblets logged in a 70 mage to Se Venger!
--> JMS 70 got revenge on a few more people than were camping them, killing Xcola's 5-shammy group and every horde nooblet on the road area from Refuge Point to Stromgarde in the process.
--> Donluciano said, 'ORLY?'
--> Xcola said, 'YA RLY!'
--> Teckzor (63? Cuisinart-spec kitty) killed JMS 70 mage
--> JMS brought in 3 more 70s (hunter/rogue/warlock; might have been a 2nd rogue but it was hard to tell with the felguards charge-stunning all over the place)
--> Donluciano remembers he has Dondiego logged in the cove behind Stromgarde after delivering some breath potions for the underwater artifact quest (damnit, if my pally could only wield staves, Hydrocane FTW!)
--> Dondiego logs in and catches the 4 JMS 70s and a couple of their other nooblets trying to clear horde out of Stromgarde.
--> Like 20 DoTs, some deathcoils and a few level 35ish multishots from a horde noobie later, the felguards chewed their faces off. (cleave one-shots multiple nooblets, FYI. That's the best part of felguards and funny to watch in a Kick-The-Ant-Pile sorta way.)
--> JMS 70s respawn and run around screaming "AoE multiples boîte joueur, ils ne peuvent réussir contre AoE!"
--> JMS 70s learn the hard way why Dondiego specced Circle of Healing.
--> JMS 70s trickle in and try to stunlock the priest while Cloak of Skilled and casting DoTs/Howl of Terror.
--> JMS 70s learn the hard way how fast felguards chew up 70 rogues in leather and why my priest+locks group are all undead.
--> JMS 70s corpse run a few more times trying to gank lowbies around Stromgarde while I'm not yet AFK, dying too far apart for me to camp them en masse any more.
--> JMS 70s respawn, mount up and try to get away.
--> A couple of JMS 70s observe that "God damn mort bobine est complètement maîtrisé et je déteste cette merde avec une passion."
--> JMS 70s all mount up and herd down the road back toward Refuge Point.
--> JMS 70s don't see Dondiego perform the one-man pincer movement.
--> JMS 70s get dotted up as they ride by but escape because elite mounts > "You cannot mount in combat."
--> Dondiego logs back onto nooblets thinking the matter settled.
--> Donluciano continues questing at Stromgarde free of JMS harrassment.
--> Donluciano soon sees Hammerfall spam and much complaining about not being able to turn in quests.
--> Donluciano logs back onto 70s and summons Reprisal after bribing him with promises of many soulshards.
--> Don and Rep clean what is now 8-9 JMS 70s out of hammerfall and camp them for 10 minutes or so.
--> Don and Rep are by now joined by several other 60+ folks from Wizards of Destruction and a few other assorted vengeance-minded hordies.
--> The Hammerfall Defense Force (Improvised) proceeds to chase the JMS 70s all over arathi and eventually back to Refuge Point.
--> The Hammerfall Defense Force (Improvised) razes everything in Refuge Point to the ground for about 30 minutes (including that damn warmaster...damn, for a 61, he's got a metric megaton of hitpoints), watching JMS 70s quickly respawn and run to the flight master when he repops to get out of Dodge.
--> That is, except for the pally that kept getting "Reprisal casts Mass Dispel. ERROR: BUBBLEHEARTH DENIED."
--> Hordies take "un grand capture d'écran" and someone posts it to the Mag forums, whereupon much frivolity ensues.
--> Horde (and Zerg) nooblets continue to quest in Arathi for the remainder of the evening "sans être molesté."
THE END
P.S. That was some serious fun for a while there until all the 70s left. I think they went to salve their egos on crossroads or something but I could be mistaken.
P.P.S. LOL...looking at that screenie, I had no idea how far allies could run past the portal while dotted and feared.
