Well, to my knowledge there's no official mail that asks you to visit a website and enter credentials in order to stop an account from being bannedBlizzard seems to be more inclined to send an email when the account is already banned, temporarily or permanently so the content of the mail is fairly different
So I just looked at the spam email again and found a link in my yahoo mail browser to show the full header, this is what I got:

blonde hubbard @hotmail .com????? That has me rolling on the floor laughing!
I love that. It's like they are telling you who they are.
I really wish Blizzard would add a key or digital signature to their official emails or a way you could log into your account and check that the email you got was valid. I'm sure half the people would ignore it, or just go the scammers "validation page", but there isn't even a way to confirm that a real Blizzard email is really real. I mean I got some emails from Billing recently and I have no way to validate them even though I am positive they are real (they are replies to my emails).
Simple solution, add a correspondence tab to the Battle.net page that lets you review all the account related emails Blizzard has sent to you in the last 60 days.

"Multibox : !! LOZERS !!" My multiboxing blog
Well, the dumbest ones are also the ones who'll take up the most support time complaining when their stupidity gets them in trouble. And, if the official WoW forums are any guide, I'd say about 90% of the WoW playerbase is functionally retarded, so that's a LOT of dumb people whining to Blizzard...
Good thing Gmail can tell which ones are real and which are fake, though if you want a good laugh, i'll let you have a look into my super secret spam folder so you can see how much trouble I am apparently in with Blizzard/facebook/Turbine/Mod chips?
Sorry about the size, but it makes for easy reading!
