Key Broadcasting Troubleshooting: Only works in CloneKeys app window
Disclaimer: I'm a noob to forums, but I can read and I have followed the guides...
When I run CloneKeys, the only way I'm able to broadcast keystrokes to my two WoW clients is by having the CloneKeys window as my focus. As soon as a WoW client window is the active focus, keys are no longer broadcasting. I've tossed in TextEdit as a second app instead of two wow clients, and TextEdit doesn't see keystrokes either unless the CloneKeys application is my top-level window with active focus (meaning that my menu bar up top shows CloneKeys, not World of Warcraft).
My Setup:
iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo and 4GB RAM running OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.3
Two copies of WoW -- one is 'original' and one is a copy (except using symlink back to /Applications/World of Warcraft/Data for patch considerations).
Not running any addons until I can get broadcasts shared.
Universal Access for Assistive Devices is Enabled.
Are there any other OS level settings I need to enable in order to have key broadcasts captured within one WoW client window and passed to a second client window? I have Growl running for Dropbox - hopefully no conflicts there.
I'd really like to use this!
Oh.. I've also downloaded trials of both MLB and Plexor, but I'm unable to get either of them working either. Not even with highlighting the app windows there.... I'm pretty sure its a local system (or user) variable and not a software thing, so I would really appreciate any suggestions or tips!
Cheers!
