tank level questions

I let my DK do a herioc and got a high level one (I thought) I was thinking maybe he appears to be better than I know I am as a tank. Looking on WoW-heroes and it shows him above Naxx 10 and able to do OS 10 (it was yellow) Is W-H pretty close to the right level?
When I was doing this heroic, one guy said I should hold aggro and I said that it was hard when everyone outgears me. he said Gear doesn't matter. Doesn't better gear mean better DPS?
I also que'ed for a normal as Tank, so I get thrown into ToC on phase 2 of Black Knight, when he is a skelton. We proceed to kill and the loot included "The Black Heart" which looked like a good tanking trinket. I rolled need and some guy got all bothered, as I was only there for 1 fight and I shouldn't roll and so on. I did not win it, but neither did he. So was I wrong? Is it my fault their tank bailed on BK?

--- W-H is sometimes hit and miss. ElitistArmory will sometimes give you a better idea.

--- I know its a pain on my undergeared pally tank set to hold aggro against people in our normal raid team. You just need to find out a very high threat rotation and stick to it as best possible. (tanks will be able to reiterate more than I can).

--- No. If the person was after the tank trinket.. they shoulda queued as a tank. They have no room to bitch. Tank trinkets go to tanks, and if they feel some form of entitlement to the item, they should earn it by tanking.

--- Post on the DiT forums. Yamede is a very, very good player. He frequents those forums, and not so much these. He'd be able to tell you all you need to know about tanking and such. (I even think he started up a "How To DK" thread on there somewhere that never went anywhere)
