Sorry matey, Druids about the only class I haven't boxed... hehe.
Can't put my finger on it exactly, but they've just never appealed to me. Hopefully one of the regulars will see your thread soon and post something more helpful than I have.
...for when one toon just isn't enough...

There is tons of information on the wiki on this site about mods and the fact that it is legal to box so doing a quick search will get you all of the information you need in that regard.
I have dual boxed a bunch of different combos with druids and it really depends on what you want to do with them. I have to say the easiest was probably when I did a tank/caster combination. I could take out just about anything and had emergency heals if I needed it. Some of the combinations for me were less smooth than others. Two druids was easy mode obviously but some could be a little harder to get timing down on. All combos were fine when I was running solo but I had some trouble in instances keeping melee on target or keeping dots up and not screwing up the druid's rotation. It wasn't a big deal though since it just meant my dps was a little lower. I didn't run heroics with all of the combos though so you may have a different experience.
To be honest, none of the combos I ran were terribly difficult to get working and they were all fun. All of the class and race combination had their own strengths and weaknesses so there really are no bad answers.. I guess it really comes down to what you like to play and what your end goal is.
I would add an Elemental Shaman to a balance druid.
That gets you a lot of caster buffs.
Two DPS of the same type (caster vs melee) is fairly easy to play.
I'd also consider a tank type and a healer type, as another option to box with.
Ideally, both would have a DPS spec for leveling.

I was wondering if a Mage would work at all . I would prefer to playbmy Druid as my main guy and the other as the follower, would also kinda prefer to choose between Mage, lock, and a hunter. A I already have those at max lvl alon with my Druid. I would like to be able to pvp decry but also be able to jump into some instances etc...
So yeah any input on which of those 3 would work best for general dual boxin use not just leveling is probably what I will choose. I just don't know which would work best![]()
Between those, I'd probably go with a Warlock.
Mainly because Warlock or Hunter has a pet, which opens up tougher quests for your pair of toons.
And the Warlock, Mage and Balance druid are all casters so will play similarly.
I don't like how a Hunter auto switches to melee attacks when a mob is in close (and melee breaks follow).

Ideally, you would want to keep the hunter out of melee range.
You might want to consider a Feral druid for the tanking ability, then the hunter for DPS. The upside about the druid is you can shift out and heal yourself if needed. This shouldn't be too bad unless you are in much higher instances where the mob hits way harder.
You may want to look into a pally too with your druid and level them together. That way you will still have a tank type if you keep your druid balance. Plus both get heals and can spec dps, heals, or tank at 80. Very versatile.
But what about pvp wise or even pve heroics/ raids. I want to get good at dual boxing so i can run 2 almost all the time.
