No gather leveling guide?

I tried to avoid the collection quests in BC. Did a few instances, but got stuck at lvl 67 with "no" kill quests left. Mind you, this was without Heirlooms on.

You can get pretty far avoiding collection quests but as you stated yourself, some loot from the collection quests are almost to good to skip

Is that even possible I've skipped Netherstorm and Shadowmoon Valley almost completely while leveling my guys. By the time they got through Blade's Edge they were 68 and ready for Northrend. This was skipping a big chunk of gathering quests as well and starting TBC @58lvl.

Sounds like youre missing some quest hubs or something.

You should at least attempt some of the gathering quests in WOTLK. While I agree with most the questing is more SOLO oriented than any other expansion by far. While it is an MMO - WOW is catering to the casual/solo player now as the game gets older and game population shrinks.

when i last leveled a set of 5 together (after raf) i used to level from 60 -70 just as you hit shadowmoon valley (with no collection quests & only a couple of instances if i got the quest)

this time round i only did a couple of the inital starting quests in hellfire @ 58 and boosted to 68

I actually quit 2 boxing the first time when wrath hit and all the stupid collection quests meant that having two toons slowed me down (as well as being problematic when friends wanted just my healer to do the dungeons).
