Default FPS questions. 5 accounts one PC. WOW

I tried a cursory search, but wasn't able to find anything right off the bat about this.

First system specs, AMD quadcore Phenom, 4 gig ram, 4350 AMD Radeon graphics card.

Now I can run 5 accounts, with ease. With Keyclone, I have the option of limiting FPS on slaves, and I can also set the video to whatever Settings I want to use.

I guess, I am just not seeing how to do this with ISboxer. It appears, and I could be wrong here, that it auto sets the graphic settings, and then renders the 4 slaves the same as the master. When I try to adjust the graphics via the control panel, "wonky things happen" Wonky being a tech term to discribe, some accounts close out all together etc.

Is there a config file that I can manually change what video settings I want ISboxer to run my WoW's at? Running at 5-10 FPS really hurts with large pulls.

Shoot, for all I know it could be my Graphics card needs an update. If anything else, I can split the differance between two other pc's.

Please let me know if you need further information, and once again, A Huge Thumbs up to Lars.

You can adjust slave FPS with keyclone? I need to find this trick, I've been living with its standard 30/10 for main/slave, and I'd like to dial down the slaves, but couldn't find the option to set it up.

Yes sir buddy. Under Command Editor, middle of the screen, you will see, WOW:maxfpsbk and maxfps. The mzxfpsbk Is the ones you want to look into.

mind you this is by memory. My Keyclone is on yet another PC. I'm posting from my Postin' / Get Ag figures PC on my tractor.

If the FPS setting is what you're looking for it's per Slot in your Character Set

You can adjust the graphics settings in game but if you're changing the resolution of the game it's going to mess with your Window Layout. You shouldn't need to change the resolution of the game, that's what your Window Layout does

What is it that you're actually trying to do

Hi Lax, sorry I called you Lars first off above. Memory is hell today, woke up smelled smoke, fridge on fire, scrambled to get it out and save a bunch of Dead animals, But I digress.

Essentially, I would like to adjust things like removing particle effects, distance, etc. set things to run on lower settings.

When you say FPS is Per slot per character set, Does this mean, If I normally get say 40 FPS on a single toon, it is then split amongst all others? I honestly think I'm missing something here, and am not fully understanding.

I guess the goal is, to have 20-30 FPS on the main window I am running, with 10-15 on the slaves. sorry for the confusion there man.

EDIT. Resolution is fine via Layout. Just the basic settings as I was trying to eek out some more FPS.

If you used the Quick Setup Wizard and didn't un-virtualize config.wtf, then your graphics settings are independent per Character, and ISBoxer only affects a few specific things -- windowed mode, antialiasing...

Just an update. I did as you suggested. What was throwing me off, was I would choose a character group, then I was selecting windows layout from the wrong screen.

Once I figured out the proper menu system I was supposed to use, It worked like a charm.

Once again, Human error on my part.

    Thanks for your patience Lax.
