Default Questing, zerging or both ? :? And some questions!

    Hi there,

My name is Reinier and im planning to go dual-boxing.
I succesfully got my dual-boxing working on 2 computers with octopus. I just did a test on it and it worked! So i have a few questions just simple questions. I'm going for a 4 shaman setup since i already have 1 shaman and/or a warrior to heal/tank for me.

    Questing or zerging?

    1. Whats the best to lvl-up Questing or just keep zerging mobs?

    Question about Questing:

    2. How can i make the other characters pick-up quest items on the ground, without acttualy needing to switch the computer? Or is it the only option?

    3. How do i loot mobs on the main character without needing to switch a computer? (needed to pick up quest items)

    4. How do i deliver a quest without needing to switch from computer?

    Tips:

    5. What addons are really requierd to set up a good dualboxing for my situation, and what does the addons do?

    6. What is the easiest and best way to preform movements?
I manged to succesfully do a '/target main char /follow' command, and an assist command...

    Lowbudget Computers:

    7. What is a minimum requierment for a descent play of WoW for the 'alts'? (CPU, Memory, Video-card ect... I dont need any good preformance a 30fps prefomance would do for me)

I hope to get some awnsers from you guys!

    Thank you in advanced!

1.i dont know im too new to dualboxing
2.you need to switch computers.. there is no macro for looting
3.on the main character? i am guessing your maing character is the one you are controlling so just right click the corpse....
4.you can go to the quest panel and click share quest. make a 'big button' macro [check the macro section on this site] this will autoaccept the quest. this also goes for inviting your character and such
5.you dont need any addons, its all preference. if you want recommendations try curse-gaming.com and look for a good action bar mod and a mod that shows casting bars for your alt if you are gonna be playing casters
6.perform movements as in running around, place to place? just /follow the main:]
7.i think pretty much all computers these days will do that for you as long as its an up-to-date computer and not something 10 years old. Google "tbc req" click the first link just go with the recommended specs there

so far, from what i know, you have to switch computers.. the only way i could think about looting w/o switching is a macro... but no such thing exists

If you're using 5 mice and 5 keyboards.. yes this would be a pain. If you use a program like synergy, where one mouse/keyboard can control 5 computers/displays, it's much easier since it 'works' like just one computer with 5 displays available as far as keyboard/mouse controls. I don't believe there's a way to loot quest items without that specific character window looting the item. Otherwise, I use master looter for my main frequently.
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

    7) This one is a bit more esoteric so I'll give you a fairly general answer. You will want to focus on two main things: CPU and RAM. For RAM, the general rule is 2GB for the first copy and another 512MB for each additional copy you want to run on that box. For CPUs, any of the 2.3GHz or higher Core2Duo chips or Athlon X2 6000+ chips should be fine for running 3-4 WoWs. You could probably get away with less but not at 30FPS for all 3-4 copies.

P.S. Yes, I'm trying to make a point with the answers to 1-6 above.
    Now playing: WoW (Garona)

#1 Both instances and questing each day will help you try and break the continues reperative gameplay. I grind instances for a bit, then goto a zone and cleanup all these quests easily and quickly and knock of 4-5 questchains at one chop. But it depends if u can hack it doing instance and nothing but instances its good xp.
#2 There is no way, when im doing these quests I have it set of FFA. My main finishes the quest, say 8/8 lamb chops. Set focus to my second char, switch windows and everyone follows my second char until he has 8/8 and so on.

#4 You cant but there are mods that make it a little easier and less downtime. See #5
#5 I use Bongos (castbar mod) to keep my 4 shamans less cluttered because there on the same monitor. I use XPearl unit frames, because its the best . I use TwoBox Toolkit because it makes multiboxing easier with rapid quests, and things like that and finally I use allinone bagmod, because it looks good
#6 Assists & Focusing, learn how to write both of them into macros. More info everywhere on the forum.
#7 I cant call this one, but system requirements are on the gamebox
For extended info read many many stickies and other posts on the fourm there is lots of great info about!
