Default Quad shaman (Haste vs Crit)

Only looking for PvP thoughts, as the title explains: Haste vs Crit?

I've been wondering what a difference it would make If I took all the pvp gear I have with crit on it and converted to haste.

The since crits hit for double, a 1% increase in crit chance would equate to a 1% increase in overall damage; in the same sense a 1% increase in haste increases casting speed by 1%, and thus overall damage output by 1%.

Since 32.79 rating is required for 1% haste, and 45.91rating is required for 1% spell crit, which one is actually better?

One thing I see as important is clearcasting. After a crit, the next 2 spellcasts do 10% more damage (from talents), so critting more means that more spells (especially the Lava Bursts) will hit that much harder, but only up to a certain point before getting diminishing returns. Not sure If anyone else has done the math for when spell crit becomes less ideal to aim for, even tho I still see nearly all the 2K+ multi boxers still aim for crit rating on their gear. (with the exception of the pieces that they get hit rating on).

    Thoughts?

I dont think the bold part can be stated that simple, that said, the only crit pieces you can replace with haste pieces are cloak and neck, so besides that you rely on or pve gear on gemslots. The totem from frost badges gives quite some haste aswel on LB casts.

The neck, Back, bracers, belt and boots actually, comes out to 334 haste vs crit, or 10.2% haste vs 7.3% crit .

After 1800, theres the main hand which is another substantial 51 haste vs crit.

I prefer more crit for 5s because, most games the majority of the fight takes place while I have bloodlust so I get more value out of crit.

I stopped playing two months ago, but I did seasons 5 and 6 focusing on Crit.

With the current season I went haste instead. Overall I found that the haste worked better since the biggest problem that I had was line of sight -- everyone just line of sights so they need to be out in the open for at least 2 seconds to get anything off.

Our biggest spell, lava burst is already a 100% crit chance with flame shock on it anyways.

For the classic lightning bolt + chain lightning kill enough haste stacked up goes a long ways

Oh yea, I forgot Shaman dont get haste mail. My bad lol.

There are also the WG shoulders, and since I do WG way too often just for fun, I might pick the haste versions of them up.
