Default PvP vs PvE 5Boxing with one computer costs

okok, so i KNOW that a lot of this is personal preference... so tell me what you would prefer...

ok so.. here's the deal, you are buying ONE computer to box 5 characters. what would you recommend harware wise for PvP/PvE

    example:
    PvP:specs, specs, specs

    PvE:specs, specs, specs

remember this personal preference.. so if you would buy the same exact comp for both say so.. but i know a lot of people say you need a better specs to be good in PvP due to lag and such, this isnt as much of a problem in PvE so i am mainly looking for that difference here. Once again, Thanks!

I don't think that it matters... all you need is a computer that can handle (and handle well) 5 WoW's on 1 machine.

    Intel Q6600 Quad Core
    4gb RAM (800 or 1066mhz)
    8800GT 512mb Video Card
    500W+ Power Supply

    This will do nicely.
    5 Shamans - lvl 70

If you're worried about your computer lagging, you shouldn't. I think Xzin ran 10 copies of WoW on his Q6600 machine.

    Incorrect.

    I used 10 machines.

Even a quad core can't run 10 with what anybody would consider playable.

I ran 8 each on 4 separate dual core machines and 8 on my quad core machine.

VERY slowly. I didn't turn down settings or turn off sound or anything though.

    FPS were.... horrible.

Let's just say that when I got them all to the Zep... (between the hard lock reboots which took out 8 at a time) ... I loaded into UC with about .1 seconds before I loaded back.
I guess I paraphrased in my head incorrectly

Just to let you know the low end...

    I PVE 5 box...

    My system is:
    AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Code 3800+ (1.99ghz)
2 GB ram (when I dont reboot into xp64, then I have 3gb ram)
    Nvidia 7900 GS

    24' Widescreen + 17' normal screen

Most of the time I get 25fps on my main and 10fps on my clones...

In SW it can sometimes slow to 5-10 fps near the AH

Outside of SW it's very playable for PVE.

im just a 15 yr old and to buy something like this, i just wanna make sure im getting the most for my money
Do NOT buy this (or even last) generation technology.

You will get more for your money that way.

Cutting edge is $$$$ for a small improvement.

A cheap quad core processor + GeForce 8600 GT GDDR3 would probably be the best buy for the money.

Looking at less than $400 for the system, then get a couple decent LCD monitors and your set.
