    i m posting in few min in macro/addons section a reply to an old personal message i recived time ago.
    in that, i explained how i play.
    i know. it s really not a great help for many. i use a lot of keyboards buttons and no using /click or IWT.
    but some idea maybe could be useful. dont know.

    Would you mind pming me your strats/macros for occ? Thats the only instance i cannot do.
    Oculus:
    trash is annoying, coz almost all groups are casters and any melee grp suffer them. but it's not anymore a great issue, considering we are all over - geared.
    -boss 1 doesn't need suggestions. i do it without healing. easy. one of easier bosses.
    -after boss1, drakes choice: 5 red drakes for me. always done with red typo. red drakes offer multi-target powerful attack(button 1 in the vehicle interface) and can become immune to incoming attacks(button 2 in vehicle interface).
    i totally ignore the last ability: button 3 is dangerous (it redirects incoming dmg on other targets to yourself).
    -boss 2 unique thing to remember is move outside electrical charge areas, i generally move the tank and group outisde the cone-area, and then reposition the group for hit again the boss. it s easy, the fight duration is 15/20 sec, generally dont need healing.
    - boss 3 is a rush. i generally kill him before he cast his aoe, ignoring his attacks. no healing required.
    generally, Divine storm and judgements keep group healed. move out of frozen area when you killed, it do dmg.
    -last boss, the big issue.
    i do it with red drakes. i usually lose 1 or 2 grp members during this fight.
    think happened just 1 time i completed with all 5 still alive.
    ok. it sounds scaring. but at the end it s a "under-control" sacrifice.
    red drakes kill the adds almost in one second. and they stay immune to Boss attacks for long part of the fight thx ability in button nr2 of interface.
    red drakes helped me to avoid changes in ui or macros.
    the assist is done with isboxer assist, exactly like when i m not in vehicle.
    button 1 attack, button 2 make drakes immune to attacks for some seconds.
    defensive ability works strange, looks it requires charges to be used. charges come from attacks. solution: spam attack (1) and sometimes button(2).
    button 2 ability is a self cast only ability. so it doesn't need any macro.
    at 60% and 20% Boss stops attack and become immune and starts casting a powerful spell.
    the attack follow your group , so you need to move and continue to move to avoid be hitted.
    DBM offers advices about it and when it ends.
    i generally move in circle waiting it ends.
    then i restart attack.
    generally i lose 1 pala around 70/60% of boss hp, just before his first aoe attack.
    generally lose the 2nd, when it happens, around 20% boss hp.
    but i can kill him with just 2/3 chars.

    Tell me, any plans on spending it yet? haha travelers mammoths on all your chars? maybe some choppers aswell.
    burning last raf time on my shamans team :/
    Can't wait to get a team into Wotlk.

    oman I did Oculus first time last night with my team, was crazy.
    only boss I had problems with was 3rd.. the frost / movement on a ret team wasn't to bad..until someone got the static aoe and then I ended up soloing on my tank =p.
    the last boss was easy just went 5 red drakes. if you have a pal they can go amber and charge up the... '10%more dmg done' or time stop. only lost 1 drake as the boss died.

    I either do 5 ruby drakes or a ruby and 4 emeralds :P

    Have been trying to do this with my team but mostly unsuccessful. This is due to the time-stop timing. I kinda get a feel already that when whelps spawn prior to first shift then I'm 50/50. If more whelps spawn prior to end of the first shift then I'm toast. Have only been able to timed and do it this way successfully, I think once or twice. I gave up on the ambers. have not tried red yet.

    not sure we are thinking the same. I am not saying go 5x amber, that sucked horribly.. tho if you macro'd out to do one time stop at time could be good.. but blehhhhh. I went 4x red drakes and DPS race while my friend would go 1 amber (tho I was actually 5boxin all so I didn't get to utilize it properly.) Note: my 5th toon is norm played by roomate.

    with the friend controlling the amber they could build up the '10%'dmg (spell #3.) while the other 4 toons spammed spell#1 on red drake.
    doing this boxing style would obviously be gimp though because when your not pressing 3 on the amber it is useless. [just my opinion] so best is probably 5red.
    I try'd to do all green but the dam little whelps range was increased so can not kite so well =l

    Don't want to hi-jack this thread, so grats again Prega! :P and thanks for the tips. Unfortunately I don't have as much toons to craft with, most I can do is probably 8 alchs but even that will probably drain all my very limited resources. I would probably end up squatting for a place to stay if this was RL. Anywho, thanks for all the great tips!

    @MYC - Gotcha. Yeah did the alternating shock & rift between the 5 guys.. 2 shocks and 3 rifts then 2 rifts and 3 shocks, w/ TS in between.. the pain was mostly mutual. Will be trying the reds.

    Thank you for posting and sharing your methods, Prega.



    Well... anyone should be able to use Dailies, to fund whatever crafting professions they want to go with.

    Eventually, you'll have enough production, that your crafting exceeds the daily income; for a while, I was doing dailies consistently on three teams, but have not done a daily in a couple of months.



    The method 1, broke... because of the cooldowns being removed from some transmutes.
    However, in Cataclysm... there will be new recipes and there will likely be cooldowns on these for the first 75% of the expansion.
    So your phase 1 is a solid blueprint for all but late Cataclysm.

    And phase 2, is a decent gold earner too, which will be valid for all of Cataclysm, as well as the remainder of Wrath.
