I tried a voice recognition software during EQ it failed, later FF Online failed attempt, and later WoW, another failed attempt. It's NEET, but 75% unreliable, you won't get consistency and if you say a command it may misinterpret the command get you killed in the process.

The key words you say to activate said spell/action needs to be different from the rest of the commands you program to do. IE: Nuke, can sound the same as Jump, well not the same but there are similiar words in the sense of the syllables and sound.

This translates to, 1. You need to make a voice command with multiple syllables that don't sound alike. 2. You can mispronounce a word and it won't work. 3. You can say a command but it would do something else that you programmed the command for.

I've used analog mics and setup multiple pcs with multiple mics, USB "Digital" mics to get less static, all with crappy results.

In the end my wife coming into the room bugging me could set off the commands and thereby wiping my arse cause a mage decided to nuke a mob I wasn't ready for.

But if you're only boxing 2 toons, it won't be so bad...but again the wife, the bro, the sis, the mom, the pet... oh yeah, no sound basically if you want it to work right, no music?
