    Default So where to now?

I just hit 52 with my Paladin/4Sham team after kicking the crap out of the Hinterlands. Man, that was the fastest five levels I've done so far!

At any rate, I'm down to 4 quests in my log and don't know where to go next. Typically a quest pulls me into a new zone that's level appropriate, but it hasn't happened this time.

    So.

I see these zones coming up:

    Searing Gorge 43-50 Contested
    The Blasted Lands 45-55 Contested
    Burning Steppes 50-58 Contested
    Western Plaguelands 51-58 Contested
    Eastern Plaguelands 53-60 Contested

Is there any zone here anyone would recommend?

Is there any place I should avoid?

I would love another Hinterdands-type area with zillions of kill quests located within a five minute ride of each other.

Is questhelper multiboxing friendly? The problem with many of those addons is that they include collection quests.

Questhelper will tell you where to go, as far as completing quests you have.
The order may not be the most efficient, but you can see where each step is, that you are on.

I would add Un'Goro Crater then Sithilus to your list of options.
And you can try instances if feel like a change of pace.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

Yes, Un'goro is full of win at your level.

Un-goro has a ton of collection quests though, gopod for 1 or 2 boxing but any more then that is pretty horrible. It is very good though if you only have 1 or 2 toons, you end up doing somehting like 2 laps and a trip into the middle.

    Nothing beats hinterlands though

I usually head to WPL and then EPL until 58 then outland. WPL is a lot of run in and run out, but not too bad on the collection quests and you get some pretty decent XP out of it. EPL is pretty average but you should only need a little while in there.
Winterspring(53-60) is also pretty good, with 5 boxing you can take down all the elites they throw at you, I usually do the yeti hides as they are clsoe enough when you hit the yeti cave to be worth the XP/hour from kills and the quest as well.
So my vote is WPL then WS.

If I were you I would embrace collection quests, theyre a great tool. I know its frustrating when youre collecting bear paws and the bears clearly have paws BUT WHY THE HECK ARENT THEY DROPPING ANY PAWS?? etc etc .. but collection quests are basically an excuse to grind. Put on some music, you have multiple characters so youre going to steam roller things... and not skipping them will making your leveling that much easier (i.e. wont have to scrounge for quests).

Learn to love collection quests... just my thought on it.

I have to agree with Red,

    My first time Multi-boxing, I learned to hate collection quests and swore I would never do them again, however I am in northrend now and;
    A) They are everywhere and practically unavoidable
    and
    B) As Red said, a good excuse to grind, if anything I find I level slower when I am focused on normal quests as I just try and find the quickest way to finish it and try and avoid combat which in some cases, means i'm missing out on XP.

Of course there is a balance, some collection quests are painful and un-rewarding, but for the most part, if you smash through the mobs, chances are you are going to earn some nice XP, plus all the random loot.

Do the collection quests because it will prepare you for the LOOOOONG grind of Northrend. Also you get a lot more loot when grinding out mobs for collection items. I would only dismiss any collection quest that has an insane drop rate, something like 20%. Plus be sure to have skinning on a toon as this will boost your bottom line. In Northrend you will not be dismissing many collection quests as these quest open up more quests. My advice, get used to it now and learn to enjoy it. Listen to loud music and have a few martini's when grinding. It helps.

Also, lately I have been using the Zygor's guide. But I add in all the group quests, instance and follow quests. I have been finding out that I am ahead of the guide often because of the collection grind.
