All the horde AV premades are PUGs. People stand in the main cities shouting for randoms to join. Occassionally an AV pug will be based on 5- 10 players from one of the large pve guilds, all playing alt characters.

You probably need to know that AA was one of the early servers, and was full very quickly. Alot of people had decided to join AA before wow really started, and they joined as guilds from other games. In the early days before the bgs AA had a fairly fierce reputation for world pvp and Southshore/Tauren Mill battles. Before anyone hit 60, STV was a constant battleground. After bgs arrived in game AA premades cropped up on both sides and were fairly well feared across the blackout battlegroup.

Subsequently AA arena teams did quite well, but alot of the top horde ones left for an even more specialist releam ( eg klauz, Doed, Inflame, and they've either stopped playing or are burnt out).

Some of the old guilds still exist, such as East Dragons (alliance) and Dark Storm (horde). ED used to have a reputation for world pvp and still come and try for thrall, which is fun. Horde side has one of europes top pve guilds in Apex, and a couple of newly formed guilds that aim to pvp.

Thus on the releam forums, it's something of a standing joke to answer all queries with "AA is full" (it was from about three years ago). Also anyone creating an alt and going into a major city and asking questions in trade will also get "AA is full".

At the moment AA is pretty quiet as everyone waits for wotLK, alot of the top end pve guilds have stopped raiding, and alot of AA players are playing warhammer (during the first 28 free days). An example of this is that alot of players transfered into AA from a pve releam to alliance side and on the Isle go around ganking single horde players. They have made a guild called Greengill Coastguard. I expect them to be surprised by the horde players who return to AA once the expansion arrives.

After I got a few toons to 70, I got a second account, came here and dual boxed a bit, but I dont think I have the patience for it. But AA has always had multiboxers, just that in the early days they tended to be dual boxers.

    Up date
It's Sunday 19th October 2008 at 5 pm (uk time) I logged online to AA I'm number 823 in the queue, and my estimated wait is 23 minutes!

Thanks for that Obi,it explains a great deal.
Was wondering why my shammy 10 box was getting hammered here there and everywhere.
I had to spin them round at one point to see if some Horde Rogue hadn't stealthed me and hung a "shoot me" sign on their backs.
    Hard Times Indeed,
    (lovin it tho)
    Can't wait till I ding 70

Copy from wow realm forums (and from Lizandra from The Zerg (eu))

Hello. The Zerg are EUs official multiboxing guild. Right here on Al'akir. Some of you might hate us. But ofc most of you love us :P

So to make this simple... We would like to add some more solo members into our guild, basicly as we wanna get into more 10 and 25 mans at lvl 80. And ofc we need more ppl to help out as a 5th in our 5v5 teams and ppl for some insane world pvp

So if you do know us somehow... you think boxing looks awsome and think that playing with some boxers would be alot of fun. If you are a nice and mature player. Then get in contact with us / me in game and have a chat

    Againstme!

Suggs and Boohm joined us, that makes us 6 quadboxers who have four shamans(lvl 70+), Los and Xtobben got a fifth char. Besides that a 10boxer, 2 quad boxers who got 4 shaman below lvl 70 and some singleplayers.

    Growing steadily
