    Default Old raid content

    I was wondering as a team of 1 feral druid + 4 ele shaman (will dual spec 1 shaman to resto when i hit that barrier) what old raid content I should be capable of clearing once geared.

    I've heard I should be able to handle MC, ZG and Kara... anything else above 5mans that I can look forward to doing after attaining level 80 badge gear? My raiding career solely consists of UBRS, MC, AQ20, Ony40, ZG and Kara... so it would be nice to be able to experience content I've never stepped foot in before Not to mention obtaining some of the recipes and vanity rewards i.e. mounts.

    There are threads on this already ...

    You can easily do all the old 60 content, the outdoor 60/70 raids, in the 70 realm you have some issues on some encounters in the larger raids. You can easily do most of the bosses with familarity, but sometimes the prerequisite bosses are tough.

    Mags lair is a good raid to see if you can do, if you can do that I would start on some other 70 raids.

    Kara seems easily doable. I ran the key quest on Saturday, then did 3 bosses inside. Horse guy, Moroes and Maiden. It wa after 3am by then so I quit. I didn't really have any issues, never really been in there before either.

    I ran kara with only 3 people at level 70 by the end of the xpac. Of course that was 3 solo players but still at level 80 you should be able to easily, easily box it.

    For me, it was basically random. If the opposite side attacks your king/etc. and not your healer piece, it's a cakewalk. If they attack the healers first, it was usually over fast. Not easy, but not impossible.

    I'm sure rogues used to be able to stealth to chess and solo it, there were tons of threads on it at the time - can't remember what their tactic was but pretty sure they kept switching pieces.

    The thread on mag the other week is useful, I went and did it as a result. Just make sure you kill all the trash before you go into the lair, I left one group up and wondered where all these adds were coming from the first couple of wipes! After that it was pretty smooth. I might start working my way through old content too, I'm a bit bored of other stuff on my shaman team atm.

    I've done MC, AQ20, ZG, ZA and Karazhan completely without too much of a problem (Pally + 4 Shamans).
    I'd like to try Gruul and Mag to see if I can do it and perhaps some of the first bosses in SSC/TK. Once Cataclysm hits the shelf, that kind of places should be more easily doable. We might even be able to solo Kael'thas and farm Phoenix mounts

    I've also done Noth and Patchwerk 5boxed because it was the weekly raid. No worries once you're in T9 and higher gear.

    The only thing you cannot do alone is AQ40 because twin emperors need two separate groups. Remember to use grounding totems on the first boss. The alst boss has some attacks that do damage based on your HP.

    Everything except BWL is just brute force fest. In ZG for jindo the hexer you will need some decent DPS before your own toons start killing the rest of your group. For Hakkar you just need to read about positioning. Other than that it's tank and spank.

    In BWL you will have problems with the first and the last boss. The first one you have two options. Either spare one toon to control it or bring someone to do the control thing. The ads will do practically no damage and are oneshoted by AoE. The last boss you will need onyxia scale cloack or he will oneshot you. I recommend you to take the 3 drake bosses + ads at once, that makes the fight at least interesting. Use cleansing totems on chromaggus.

    Karazhan is just enter in and kill.

    Maghteridon is very easy if you run paladin + shamans group. Just blow as fast as possible the ads at the beginning (I burn heroism at start to kill the ads). Then maghteridon itself is just tank and spank. You could solo it with a prot pala if it was not for the ads.

    Gruul is another story. The first pack of miniboses will fear, mind control and do nasty things on your group. Have not tried that boss with t9 gear, but with T7-T8 it was impossible.

    TK the first boss requires lots of movement. I tried a couple of times, but it always ended in an endless fight where I could not kill him nor he was able to kill me.

    BT The bosses there are not that hard, but require some tactics. You cannot brute force these.

    MGT Same as BT. Read tactics, perhaps you will need to bring some friends. Some bosses there do damage based on percentage of your HP.

    Hyjal Read tactics. Spread your group when first boss appears.

    Outdoors bosses:
    Lord Kazzak --> Make sure to position your tank properly, or he could wipe you after throwing your tank away.
    Doomwalker --> Tank and spank
    The 3 drakes --> Nature res totem and burn them with fire but DON'T use fire elementals. Magma totems will do the work. They are immune to nature damage. Expect several wipes until you get used to kill them.
    Anachronos EU
    Loladunus --> Paladin Tank (PvE) || Xuljin --> Shaman DPS (PvP)
    Buljin, Nuljin, Muljin --> Shaman DPS
    Tuljin --> Shaman Healer
    Chogup --> Powerwar's imp
