Thanks!

Lax,
Working in the IT industry myself, I can appreciate that these things happen, and certainly I worked my around it, as I'm sure did everyone else who really wanted to play tonight (for myself, I reverted to my KeyClone setup).
Believe me when I say this, as a new user, who'se now had 2 outages in 6 days of subscribed time, I am fully cognizant of the fact that's it's just my bad luck/timing is all, and I accept the testimony of others who say that this is a very unusual occurance.
I am certainly impressed with the scope and depth of the product as well as your prompt support and replies whenever I've had a question (as a product this configurable was bound to ellicit).
I would like though, if asking the question isn't out of line, to know whether some sort of "grace period" can be built into the softwares license check as it seems to me to be the most effective way to counter this sort of outage.
Is there no way to code a grace period into the license check such that hackers and other free-loading types couldn't use that code to keep resetting the grace period?
Alternately, would an extended period of pre-paid subscription suffice to gain access to a check-disabled version of the program?
While I'm in no danger of knocking Bill Gates off the Rich List, I am in a situation like I suspect most multiboxers are, where time to play is much more of a limiting factor than is the money devoted to doing so, thus I would be willing to pay a 2 or even 3 year sub up front, if it avoided the softwares dependence on a connection to a remote server.
...for when one toon just isn't enough...
Horde Caelestrasz Multiboxer:
Team1: 5xPaladin....Level 80 - Heroic gearing completed. WTB [Frost Badge] pst pls.
Team2: 1xPaladin/4xShaman....Level 80 - On Hiatus, Awaiting Cata.
Contact on: Nevergonna on Realm Caelestrasz (Horde)
Caelestrasz Horde: 5 Active 5 Boxers and counting.
The backup license server was supposed to be handling these outages, and since it has been fixed and now verified during an actual outage instead of a simulated outage, will be handling any outages for the foreseeable future. The replacement power supply arrived so we'll be taking down the main server temporarily to take care of that, so the web site will be down but the software will be taken care of by the backup
I'm considering ways to change the connection behavior when the next generation of software comes out (this year), but I don't plan on making changes to the licensing system for Inner Space in particular (at this point it's a bigger risk to change it than to leave it). I imagine the new software will probably require connecting when you first launch the software, but have a fallback if the server is unavailable when launching a game instance.
Lax,
It would be cool for the next gen to have innerspace / boxing tools all integrated into 1 thing.
The next generation software is indeed integrated into a single program. You won't even notice that it's running on the Inner Space 2 engine because you never have to see it or otherwise deal with it![]()
I still don't seem to be able to log in. Is this because your installing the new power supply?
Edit: Seems to be working now. Not sure what was up, thanks Fenril.

Rumor has it that lax is gonna extend every current subscriber of isboxer his/her license with 2 days to make up for the downtime. Not confirmed though. Is this true?
Everything that is fun in life is either bad for your health, immoral or illegal!
Is it called a "rumor" when you're the one that starts it?
I don't mind comping people who were actually affected by the outages.
