Default Elemental Shaman - Destruction Warlock - Arcane Mage Macros

Here are the macros I am using on my Elemental Shaman, Destruction Warlock, & Arcane Mage. Some of them use a click based cast. In order for you to get the commas right on a click based macro you need to have a rough idea how many times you spam the dps key for it to be effective. I spam anywhere from 4-5 clicks per second. If you want to do a test just open notepad and spam a key at the same pace for 10 seconds. Take how many clicks you made and divide it by 10 to see your clicks per second. Once you get your macros made you will need to tweak the commas at the target dummy. So if a skill cool down was 10 seconds and you spammed 4 clicks per second you would need 40 commas in that macro so it goes off close to the expiration of the cool down. You have to make adjustments for set bonus to the times. The flameshock on the shaman set will require you to adjust your commas on your flameshock macro.

Here are the macros and where they are on my screen.

    Elemental Shaman

Main Click DPS Button - This macro clicks your right action bar #1 which is on the right side of your screen. You need to put your click macros in the following order starting at the 8th button down from the top. You can move it around but this is the position I have mine set.

    /run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","0")
    /click MultiBarRightButton8
    /click MultiBarRightButton9
    /click MultiBarRightButton10
    /click MultiBarRightButton11
    /click MultiBarRightButton12
    /run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","1")
This is optional if you are having mana problems. Once you get some gear you will not need thunderstorm in your macro. Taking it out will increase DPS. Thunderstorm Macro for Position 8 on Right Action Bar - Adjust comma clicks for your click per second rate so the full cool down is consumed by commas.

    /castsequence Thunderstorm,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,
Flameshock Macro for Position 9 on Right Action Bar - Adjust comma clicks to match your flameshock cool down so it goes off again as close to when the dot is going to expire on your target.

    #showtooltip flame shock
    /use 13
    /use 14
    /castsequence reset=target/combat/4 Flame Shock,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Lava Burst Macro for Position 10 on Right Action Bar - Adjust comma clicks to match the lava burst cool down so it goes off again immediately when it's off cool down.

    /castsequence reset=combat/ctrl Lava Burst,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Chain Lightning Macro for Position 11 on Right Action Bar - Adjust the same as you did for lava burst so chain lighting goes off when the cool down is over.

    /castsequence reset=combat/ctrl Chain lightning,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Lighting Bolt Macro for Position 12 on Right Action Bar - This is the filler spell to go off when all others are on cool down

    /cast Elemental Mastery
    /cast lightning bolt

Arcane Mage Macro - I would download super duper macro for this or macaroon. I like super duper because it's very easy to use. It can be downloaded at wowinterface.

You only need 1 macro for an Arcane Mage. This macro is very simple and requires you to always have mana gems so you do not go oom so fast.

    #showtooltip
    /run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","0")
    /stopmacro [channeling]
    /use 13
    /use 14
    /cast icy veins
    /cast arcane power
    /cast presence of mind
/castsequence reset=combat/4 arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane blast, arcane missiles
    /use mana sapphire
    /cast mirror image
    /run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","1")

Destruction Lock - I am new to this but I have my macro setup to work very effecient right now. This one may take some long testing at the target dummy to make sure you have everything set right for the comma delays.

Main Click Macro - This is exactly link the Shaman Click that uses the Right Action Bar starting at button 7 if you count down from the top.

    /run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","0")
    /click MultiBarRightButton7
    /click MultiBarRightButton8
    /click MultiBarRightButton9
    /click MultiBarRightButton10
    /click MultiBarRightButton11
    /click MultiBarRightButton12
    /run SetCVar("Sound_EnableSFX","1")
Curse of Elements + Trinkets for Position 7 on Right Action Bar - This cast curse of elements 1 time and blows your trinkets. I don't know if the nochanneling is needed I copied that from someone here.

    #showtooltip
    /stopmacro [noharm]
/castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target Curse of the Elements, Null
    /use [nochanneling] 13
    /use [nochanneling] 14
Lifetap for Position 8 on Right Action Bar - This is your lifetap macro that needs to be adjusted so you are not spamming it too much. You want to keep the spell bonus up from the glyph and not run out of mana. The commas I have in mine are from testing on the target dummy. Adjust according to your needs. It resets on combat and target. You can just use combat if you want.

    #showtooltip
    /castsequence reset=combat/target Life Tap,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Immolate for Position 9 on Right Action Bar - This cast immolate and used with the conflagrate glyph has commas delays to consume the full duration of the dot. You want this to cast again when it's getting close to the dot expiring on your target.

    #showtooltip
    /castsequence [nochanneling] reset=target Immolate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Conflagrate for Position 10 on Right Action Bar - This is your conflagrate macro which should have comma delays based on your click per second so it goes off immediately when it's cool down expires.

    #showtooltip
    /castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Conflagrate,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,
Chaos Bolt for Position 11 on Right Action Bar - This is similar to conflagrate. You want it to go off when the cool down expires. Adjust your commas to match your click per second speed.

    #showtooltip
    /castsequence [nochanneling] reset=combat Chaos Bolt,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,
Incenerate for Position 12 on Right Action Bar - This is your filler spell similar to lightning bolt for elemental shamas. I have it on a cast sequence but you can just use /cast if you want. I have not tested it that way and don't know why I have it as a sequence. Most likely it was from me playing around with it. If you just want to use it as I have it listed below it will work fine.

    #showtooltip
    /castsequence reset=combat Incinerate

Well that's it. This should keep your busy at the target dummy for awhile. Make sure you have a good idea of your click spam rate. I am about 4-5 clicks per second so I adjust my commas based on that. I always start out using 4 commas per click then add more to get it as close as I can to cool down times. Many thanks to all who posted stuff in the past because I would still be using /castsequence if not for their help. When you get your comma delays down you should see some real dps increases using the click macros.

Don't forget to glyph to optimize your dps.

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
