    @Dezeral

    try this. run keyclone with maximizer, running one command at a time... each time you run a wow, please check the config.wtf and see what the gxResolution (i think that was it... at work atm) is set to.. and compare that to the region size/dimensions... they should be the same.

    I'll take a look at it this evening after work. I did check that first to make sure it wasn't something too simple or obvious, but I did not check one command at a time. Thank you.

    Ok, running just one command from c:\wow1 within Keyclone, the same text distortion occurs. The config.wtf has "SET gxResolution "1920x1200" in the c:\wow1 directory.

    After running just the one command, I noticed that there was one line of pixels running vertically on the second monitor. This should not be happening with the 1920x1200 setting as that exactly matches the monitors native resolution. I went into Keyclone setup and then maximizer and changed it to 1919x1200. This fixed the text distortion. When I changed it back to 1920x1200, it again extened one pixel onto the other monitor but the distortion did not come back. However, if I exit Keyclone and restart it using the 1919x1200, the text distortion comes back. This leads me to believe that there is something going on whenever Keyclone first starts up the windows. There is definitely something odd going on.

    are you using xp or vista? dual-view or horizontal span?

    i have read people had some problems and updating drivers sometimes helped.

    the single line of pixels is very odd. please update your drivers and let me know what happens

    I've played around with this some more. I'll try to describe what is happening here. I'd also like to make a request to make the maximizer configuration window larger. I'll explain more about this later. Just to recap here a bit. I use Windows XP with two 24 inch monitors in horizontal span mode connected to a single 8800GTX video card. This gives me a single desktop that is 3840 wide by 1200 high and is reported to Keyclone as a single display.

    First, it looks as if there is an "off by 1" error with Keyclone-maximizer. As to whether this is causing the distorted text problem or not, who knows? Under the maximizer config, you request the starting x,y cooridinate of the top left corner of the window. You then request the h,w of that window. In my case, my first window starts at 0,0 and is 1920w x 1200h. This would correspond to a starting coordinate of 0,0 and extend over to 1919 and down to 1199. 0 to 1919 = 1920 and 0 to 1199 = 1200. However, what you get when you enter in a starting point of 0,0 and a 1920w, 1200h is a window that is actually 1921 wide by 1201 high. This is why one pixel extends on to the other screen. The same thing happens for all windows, I just didn't notice it because those windows are smaller and are edge to edge.

    The way I added each window to the maximizer config was to click the + sign. This gives me a new widow with the default name of region1. I then click in each box along the top of the maximizer config window to enter in the desired window settings. In my case, I named my main window V and gave it the 0,0 starting point and h,w of 1920,1200. Then I cliked the + again and did my next window which was named A, started at 1920,0 and is 960w,600h. Third window was named B, starting at 2880,0 and 960wx600h. Fourth window is C, starting at 1920,600 and 960wx600h. Fifth window is named D and starts at 2880,600 and is 960wx600h.

    This creates all the windows I need to 5 box. I setup the commands for each character with the Main using window V, the alts using windows A through D. Each command runs from a separate WoW directory so that there is no risk of something screwy going on with the config.wtf. The reason I would like to have the maximizer config window enlarged is because, once I have created the windows V, A, B, C, D, I can only edit the settings for window V, A, and C. The reason is because it seems like you have to select the window by clicking on it in the maximizer config screen to edit its properties. V, A, and C are the only windows that you can see in the maximizer screen. Windows B and D are too far to the left and "off" the maximizer screen.

    Here is what I am after when all is said and done:
