The adds just kept getting off heals and when magtheridon came i still had 3 spellcasters and a couple infernals up. My casters were pretty oom by then and healer eventually got agro and just went poorly. I might try it again with some rogues or hunters and see if I can develop a second team that isn't so mana dependant.

I let the elementals beat on my shamans constantly so they can eat the water shields. Their damage is offset by the healing totems anyway. I usually just let 2 fire eles beat on the shaman until mags go down and just keep refreshing water shield as necessary. pally tank with 3 ele shams dps and ele heal. I come out of it with about half mana on my shams (spending mana tide once [50% mana] during the fight).

Like Jinkobi - i don't really care if i down all healer prior to activating mags. I just down whatever i can and then focus on mags. Last night I ended up with 3 casters and 2 eles after mags went down. My fight lasted 6+ mins. Not as good as last week but it's a no-rush/chill fight anyway.
