Default Advanced Jamba help (Macros, Sets and more)

Some info before i start asking:

i have few diferent teams set up:

    1tankadin (main) + 4 x elemental shamans
    1tankadin (main) + 4 x shadow priests
    1tankadin (main) + 4 x retri paladins
    1tankadin (main) + 4 x balance druids
    1tankadin (main) + 4 x mixed (2xmage, 1xlock, 1xsp)
    1tankadin (main) + 3 x hunters, 1 x sp

My jamba config looks like this atm (I will just write down some info for which I think its needed for understanding):

    Core: Tags

All my characters are listed here. Depending on class/toon number, i've added them some tags here. Druids have Druid tag, Mages Mage, Priests Priest etc. Depending on account number, they also have main/toon1/toon2/toon3/toon4 tags.

    FTL Helper

Here, all of my chars have "Use selected Toon in FTL" option checked AND "Only use Toons which are online"

    Macro (Macro Sets Control)
    (i will list lines)

    Shamans............myvariables.............all.... .........Off/On
    Druids.................myvariables.............all .............Off/On
    Paladins.............myvariables.............all.. ...........Off/On
    Priests................myvariables.............all ..............Off/On
    Mixed...................myvariables.............al l.............Off/On
    Hunters..............myvariables.............all.. ............Off/On

I have no idea if only the team, which i'm playing ATM is set as ON, others OFF?

    Macro: Variables

    Variable Sets: myvariables
    Variables: none

    Macro: Macros

Macro Sets (same as in macro sets control)
Shamans, Druids, Paladins, Priests, Mixed, Hunters.

Macros (i'll give few examples for Shamans):

    Name: Key: Text

    Follow: +: /follow target
    Target: ': /target targettarget
    Cycle: 1: /cast Elemental Mastery
/castsequence reset=combat/10 [target=targettarget, harm] [] Flame Shock, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Chain Lightning

All Macro sets have then the same macros:

    Nofocus1: F8: /target acc1toon1 /target acc1toon2 /target acc1toon3 /target acc1toon4...
    Nofocus2: F9: /target acc2toon1 /target acc2toon2 /target acc2toon3 /target acc2toon4...
    Nofocus3: F10: /target acc3toon1 /target acc3toon2 /target acc3toon3 /target acc3toon4...
    Nofocus4: F11: /target acc4toon1 /target acc4toon2 /target acc4toon3 /target acc4toon4...
    Nofocus5: F12: /target acc5toon1 /target acc5toon2 /target acc5toon3 /target acc5toon4...

(these binds are also linked with keyclone's keymap profiles)

    Here are my questions now:

    1. in Jamba->Macro, is only the current group i'm playing enabled, others disabled or can all Macro Sets Controls be enabled at the same time?
    2. Do I have to many Macro Sets? Are my builds good or would you rework them?
    3. Jamba->FTL helper can give me nice /click JambaFTLTarget but i have no idea how to use it on macro _with_ modifiers?
    4. How could I have F8, F9, F10,... macros built diferently so I couldnt need it in every Macro Set.
    5. I dont think my follow and target macros are good enough. Do you think I should use /assist on my attack macros instead?
    6. what should i change in Jamba that when i would go do instance with my toons and pug TANK (example). do i need to add him in FTL Helper? then create/update FTL buttons?

Thank you for your help. I would really need this questions answered as i think i dont understand some parts of Jamba properly.

    thank you again.

Well Im setting up keymaps in IsBoxer right now and there is no way any other program is going to touch them although I also use jamba.

It has taken me a week or so just to do like 12 (but I have 36 characters to take care of) or so but now I have all my macros in one spot and the keymapping step system is so strong Im not looking back.

Jamba rox but for macros IsBoxer is da king.

I dont know I gave up on ftl I just using focus with a main and a 2nd main. If your main two guys die then its time to rez anyways .... ya and /assist is all I use for tageting (well and /targetfriend for rez), right now.

You can also make Action Target Groups with IsBoxer so that you can have a single key send macroA to ATGa and macroB to ATGb ... So if ATG is shaman macro is /cast chain heal and if ATG is mages macro is /assist focus /cast fireball, on the same key. So in your case you make ATG for each group you plan ot have in teh game and bind all to one key so no matter what group you running that same key works for them .... so powerfull ....

Its complicated to set up but the first time I can do a roundrobin with 22 shaman on thunderstorm spamming a single key, its going to be way worth it lol ....

I would do your set up, within IS Boxer rather then Jamba too.

With IS Boxer, you have Keymaps, which are groups of mapped keys.
By default, you have Control, General and FTL DPS keys.

Control should only be mapped keys which you want to always be on, in ever situation.
Such as mapped keys which occur on character switching etc.

FTL DPS Keys, are mapped keys used for attacks.
    These apply to every team.

General are mapped keys, which aren't attack keys, but also apply to all toons.

Most of the mapped keys you create, will go into General.
Because they will apply to every team you run.
If you make a single mapped key, you can have multiple targets and each do something different.
You could put the Shaman's into an "action target group" called Shaman, and use Shaman as the target.
And do the same for Mage or Priest.
And have the one mapped key do something different for each of those target, on the same keybind.
Then you can mix and match a lot, and have the one mapped key (maybe for Fear or Buffs etc) on a single keybind for multiple teams.

If you have mapped keys, which you only want to apply to a specific team and not to the others.
You should probably make a Keymap (a set of mapped keys), named after the team in question.
Assign it to the team (character set) specifically, and not to the others.

It might take a bit of time to set up.
But a lot of it is shared functions between all of your teams.
    EverQuest I: Bard / Enchanter / Druid / Wizard / 2x Magician.
    Diablo III: 4x Crusader & 4x Wizard.

Ualaa, as you maybe noticed me on isboxer's irc channel, I did just that. It took 2-3 days to config 90% of everything i need for all of my times (approx 5 teams), but it works perfect now.

all i need now is just few more tweaks... thanks for suggestions!
