I think random BGs just about killed PvP for me

I'll start off by saying I enjoy the random BG option. It rewards people for taking a chance and gets some play time on lesser used BGs. That said the way the system works now will cause me to unsub if it isn't fixed or tweaked.

Basically the way it stands now, ill never be able to choose the BG i want to play ever again. I waited over an hour for AV and WSG (small and large BG for a test) and neither popped. If i want to play WSG i have to take my chances with the random BG queuing system which "MAY" eventually get me to my desired BG.

Here's how the system should work.

1) I queue for AV
2) I wait for a random AV group to form.
3) All people specifically queued to AV get priority access and it fills up with randoms who get extra honor as a reward
4) I get the battleground I want, random people get a random BG + extra honor.

But as it stands now this isn't happening. I'm hoping that this is an oversight that will be resolved.

Edit - Blue confirms it's a bug:
There's a known bug that isn't properly incorporating random battleground queuers with those choosing specific battlegrounds. This can lead to queue times that are longer than what they should be.

A hotfix is in the process of being developed and we anticipate it should be applied within the next day or two.

I was haveing crazy issues with random que and "normal" que for my party. The only one that would pop a BG was my main.....and some times it would pop a random even though I selected "AV".

Really was throwing me off.....

Have you been able to get into a specific BG yet? or only with the random?

There's a good chance the system is bugged, and this is not the final behavior.
They did just bring it in, in today's patch.

I agree, I think it's bugged. I couldn't even Q for AV last night. It would pop up a random BG on my main, and nothing on my alts.

Are most muti boxers not comfortable doing anything other than AV?

Blizz is really killing pvp, Much more and i think ill find a new game. I hate games that patch tell there games no fun any more.
Not being able to see how many games are going really blows .Guess that's blizz's way of stopping the complaints about low bg numbers lol if ya don't see them hard to complain.
They killed the pvp on pvp servers with the random group crap nobody leaves town now. The ruined the twinks
,I'm beting the rated bgs will be a big cluster .Glorified wow Olympics that will favor runners not fighters ,All the bgs are setup with ways to win with out fighting lol .Random bgs are fine for the daily but really suk in the big picture.

Speaking for myself, as soon as I join a BG that's 15 people or less 50% of the players start moaning about how they are going to lose because of multiboxers. Crappy attitudes from randoms are a big turnoff.

Unfortunately with this new system it now seems very difficult to queue up with friends as a 5boxer. Qing for a random together won't work, so your only option is that you all q for a specific battleground...and because everyone else is just running the random battleground at this point the specific battlegrounds will never populate unless MAYBE it is on holiday

Kinda stinks if your a multiboxer who enjoyed running BGs with other people

I think this new system is realy nice. It reduced my quetimes and i get more honor =) win win
Allthough u get some of the bg's u might not prefere but thats life
