I think random BGs just about killed PvP for me

Phew! I thought I was going to be the only person on the planet that thinks the random system is a good change.

well i do wim like 90% of my sota's but the whole split up team thingy in the start just ruins the fun

I actually think the random BG is a good change, however they could tweak it to easily accommodate people who might prefer a specific battleground.

Generally after your gear grind is all said and done, and honor is pointless except for a money machine... id think most people would prefer to use that gear to do something they enjoy from time to time and the system should accommodate it. In my case, I like to PvP in a BG of my choice and maybe arena a little.

Where does it say it doesnt? Like when the daily was IoC and it never popped all day because people never queued for it. Kinda like that?

It doesn't say it, but its what's happening (hopefully its a bug as stated earlier) and the overall issue I have with the system.

You can't individually queue for a battleground and have it come up (or at least i don't know anyone who has). For example, I can queue to AV, but unless 79 other people also do it (if i'm single queuing), it's not going to pop. What i'm hoping it's supposed to do is fill the BG with people who signed up for random and don't care what BG they get - or at the very least slip you into a randomly created AV game, something like the PvE system does.

You can, I tested it out. It took 55 mins to get into an AV game single queue. Did it while I was lurking DB forums this morning after I read that people here where having a hard time queuing when I was getting almost instant via random. ;p

Glad you got in! I waited last night about 68 minutes and also tried group queuing with some friends (5 of us in total) for WSG and AB which never popped after about 35 minutes when we gave up and did the random.

Many people are getting in, read the forums or trade chat about people doing single queues, but most are bitching about times and how unfair it is and that they only like wsg.


Actually, it looks like the random and single q people are being put into different groups. So its a product of people selectively queuing random bgs over single queue. I could be wrong but I think there is limitation in trying to reintegrate the groups. /shrug



I just wish they added pvp weapons to this patch.
