What, what do you mean .. Isn't this how we all do it? What, what are you telling me? They invented some software solution? .. I don't belive in it.
Boxing, 10% macros, and 90% tape and wood.

Well I can now confirm that it is possible to make really decent money running level 4 missions. Not only that but it's way more fun than mining. You can really fly through the missions by having your fleet all help the single character of your choice. It's not nearly as much money per character as someone running level 4's themself but it is a far superior alternative to ratting for multiboxers because there's plenty to kill on missions and when they have bounty it's very profitable. I currently only loot what's in range of tractor beams and don't salvage but if I wanted to make a little extra I could really focus on trying to mulitask all of that.
Don't mess with wormholes. They may be profitable but the pain in the ass isn't worth it. I had half a fleet stuck in w-space for a few scary hours waiting for a new wormhole to spawn because wormholes like to collapse when you move a lot of mass through them. I ended up 23 jumps away from my original location luckily they were high sec jumps though.
I'll be trying level 5's soon but I don't have my hopes up due to the extra dangers involved in low sec screwing up the risk/reward ratio.

Just a suggestion if you're planning on running level 4s for an extended period of time and want to loot/salvage. Having a dedicated ship like an Orca to tractor and loot makes things much easier and you can get things up to 70km away instead of 20km with normal tractor beams.
This is definitely good advice. I've been leaving most of the loot behind, often letting some friends go clean it up to make some quick cash. Having my command pilot be in an orca would actually make the drone and rival faction missions just as profitable as the ones where the ships have bounty since I could so easily loot.

When I ran 3, I did the whole tractor beam / salvage, it definitely wasn't as fun as just blowing stuff up though.
Have you been able to find a good way to assist?

For safety I broadcast targets on my lead and have the others target it from the broadcast window. If it's just rats and nothing else on the overview I'll try to control click on the overview but you can never rely on that when the mice or overviews themselves get out of sync. There's no good, fast way to do it though.

Well I was considering trying to box EvE but this kind of setup isn't something I'm willing to undertake.
Mad props to you Kromtor!

Hello there,
To make a long story short, automation of gameplay is not permitted; players must be manually issuing the commands to control their character(s) at all times.
Our stance on programs such as Synergy and hardware/software combination such as the G15 keyboard is that they can be legitimately used as long as gameplay isn't automated. Synergy allows you to move your mouse cursor to multiple different monitors which are hooked up to different computers and we do not have any qualms with players using the program for this purpose. If Synergy was used in some way to control your accounts for you without a need for you to be at your keyboard, then that would not be allowed, but I am not aware of such a functionality with this program. If Synergy is used in conjunction with some other program to automate gameplay, it would not be permitted. G15 "macros" which allow you to group different commands into one keypress are allowed. For example, setting your G1 key to press F1, F2, F3 and so on for you with one key press is allowed (although this specific command is not as useful as it was before now that we have weapon grouping).
An exceedingly complex G15 macro which would effectively automate gameplay, such as mining, without a need for the player to be present at his keyboard would be against the EULA, regardless of whether the player utilizing said macro is sitting at his keyboard at the time!
Lastly, multiboxing is allowed, and programs designed for multiboxing in mind which allow a player to manually issue the same command to multiple game clients at the same time are allowed. In the same vein as what has been stated above, the player must be manually sending the commands; if a program is automating those commands for you, then it would be considered a breach of our EULA.
I hope this clears up this matter.
Best regards,
