    Default ISBoxer Click Bars

    Hi all,
so from what I am seeing on ISBoxer's site there seems to be very little documentation on this new feature except for a user video and some screen shots.
I played with it a little and so wondered has anyone else played? I know that most of the support for Click Bars at the moment are on ISBoxers IIRC chat room but I thought I would ask here due to the large user base.
    So my questions are:
    1. For click bars to work, does all the spells etc have to be part of a macro already in ISBoxer?
    2. When I played with the button sizes, it acted a little weird and basically I could not change above 42x42, will running the setup wizard fix this? (I only seen that this is something I should do when I watched the video guide and I am not at home currently and so cannot check)
    3. Does anyone else have any other examples of how they are using this feature other than the examples LAX posted on the ISBoxer site?
    Thanks all for the help

    1. Yes. I was trying to reproduce the issue you were having going over 42 in size with a test clickbar with nothing on it. I couldn't make it show on my character set. I then re-sized my existing clickbar and was able to bring it up to the max of 256x256.

    2. Check Link -- I needed to re-size my working set of clickbars. I didn't use the wizard.

    3. I am using it for the abilities I am too lazy to bind a separate key for.

Lax has documentation on it listed here on the wiki, though it's a pretty straight-forward concept. Create a keymap in ISBoxer and tie the clickbar button to it. If you have any trouble man just keep posting here or come to the ISBoxer IRC chat.

I've not messed with this, beyond reading the thread on www.isboxer.com.

My understanding is the bar you click is essentially linked to a mapped key.
You could have one step only, and have the mapped key send a keybind to wow.
Which would then be click here = that spell.
But as a mapped key, you could include whatever assist options you want, such as the FTL DPS Keys.

If its a two-step mapped key, such as the toggles to turn on/off something.
You can have similar graphics (just different colors) for each state the mapped key is currently in.
Which then gets you a graphical notification of the mapped key state.
Along with the ability to click it, rather then use a keyboard hotkey for the mapped key.
And you wouldn't be limited to two steps/two icons, you could do as many as you'd like.

Well I will play with this a little more tonight, I downloaded the icon pack from the Link on ISBoxer's site and that will help a little with setting up spells etc.
I am thinking for the most part I will be using click bars for stuff like heroism or certain totems and with other toons for certain buffs etc. I also think I will use it for mounting and unmounting (currently have it bound to a key which would be nice to free up).
All in all I think this new feature will make my UI much cleaner than the current UI which has a lot of click regions and bartender bars with spells on them, gets kinda messy with two teams
    Thanks again

Any click button, can be tied to any mapped key.
So if you make an IWT mapped key, then yes.

And if you want the click button to apply to everyone, make the mapped key target everyone.
Or if you want the click to only go to certain toons, have the mapped key only apply to those toons.

You could line up your click buttons like this:
    A -- B -- C

And have A as a mapped key that only applies to your first shaman.
And have B as a mapped key that applies to the first two shaman.
And C apply to three shammies.
With each of these three mapped keys doing something.
Then you have the option of clicking the first (one shammy casts whatever) or two shammies or three.

This is a rather flexible option Lax has added to IS Boxer.

So I played with this a little last night and have been a little frustrated with it. I setup a key map which is basically the spell Prayer of Fortitude, so I selected it as a WoW macro and used /cast prayer of fortitude for the macro. I then setup a new click bar which I called buffs and added a button in this with the action that selects the keymap, I tried every variation of who should use it, including all and myself and none of them are casting the spell. I took the same macro and pulled it onto my bar and it worked fine.
What am I doing wrong? Or is it that something in my overall config for ISBoxer is messed up?
My thought for this usage was to take all my buffs, priest, shaman, druid etc and put them on a bar so that I can select them all seperately when needed, currently I have them just on a click region and the main buffs overlay on each window so that when i hit the main toons buffs it activates the other toons on the team, this can be a waste of reagent for a lot of buffs when the buff lengths are different and hence my reason for trying the above setup.
By deleting all click bars, will this clear out all the click bar config or would I need to start from scratch with a new ISBoxer file?
    Thanks for the help

I had some issues initially when setting this up. When I setup a bar and tried to change that...ie to have an additional row or whatever, it didn't seem to save the changes properly.....in the end I started again. Kinda seemed like the bar had to be setup right forst time. There are also some bars that I've deleted, that despite me saving that change etc....they reappear in ISboxer when I load that. Fortunately they're not appearing in game as the character set isn't tied to them.

Now, despite that, I'm pretty happy with what they've allowed me to do. I'm really bad for being a clicker rather than pressing mapped buttons, so this is a god send for some stuff. I've made a bar that has 5 rows and 2 columns and made the rows the same height as the bars in my vhudu (sp) setup. Each row has a FoL button and a cleanse button. When I click on it, all of the paladins (DK + 4ret team) will cast a flash of light on the toon who's vhudu bar they are next to. Likewise for cleanse. I've setup 4 keymaps as macros to cover this.
I have another bar which is simply 2 buttons....one for the paladins to cast bubble (all 4 bubble at the same time) and the other is for avenging wrath. Despite this being a fairly straight forward thing.....it's great for me as it means that I can click on the button rather than having to stretch my finger to an out of reach keyboard/keypad button.

So my opinion is that although it takes a bit of time to get used to and there seems to be some UI bugs.....the functionality is great.

I never messed with click bars all I ever do if I want to share a button on a bar with my slaves is just make a repeater region over the button/bar I wish to share. Not sure if there is any downside to how I do it but it works like a charm.

The plus side is I can block local click or just have the click sent to a specific WOW.

Crowdx, one of the first things I always forget (not that you have) to do when setting up these bars is to add my teams to the new bar or key map. I'm not sure this is your problem but both your bars and your key maps need to be setup for use on your teams.

The second thing to check is that your targeting is setup to just be used by the priest for PoF, even if it's through assist (FTL) targeting. Targeting if not in the macro has to come into play somehow. Especially if it's a group buff like PoF I would setup self targeting in the macro.

    I hope that helps.
