I really doubt you're gonna get more than 3 copies going with any kind of good fps

I have basically the same setup but with the
    video Chipset Model: ATY,RadeonX1600

another problem I've had is I can't get the game to run any smaller than 800 by 600, so if you wanna run really itty bitty copies like some of the windows guys here you'll have to find some way to figure that out.

you're definately gonna need a second monitor, and you're either gonna have overlap with 2 or more copies on the laptop screen.

2 on the lap is manageable though.

To be honest, Multiboxing on a Mac isn't done very often, I think there are probably a dozen people who do it?

Valorin had it nailed for a while, but he has disapeared.

You should be able to get 3 clients out of that Laptop although I wouldn't bet on an "amazing FPS".

I'll soon start to lvlup 2 Warlocks with a iMac Core 2 Duo 2Ghz with 2GB Ram (I can run 5-6 instances). To run several WoW instances, just copy and paste the "World of warcraft" Application (Not the folder) You'll win some Hard Disk Space, then run each WoW Application (World of warcraft, World of warcraft 2, Etc) And Log in.
You can also install Clonekeys http://code.google.com/p/clonekeys/
You'll have to add each WoW Window to the list (With the "+" Button). And now, each key you use on your keyboard will be bind to the other windows.

    And... Good luck!

Well I can let you in on what I do.

First, I am using an white iMac, 2.16C2D, 3gb memory, GF7600GT with 256mb memory. I can run three sessions with no problem, five is a bear. I use Clonekeys to make them talk to each other.

How do I run three copies?

Simple, one copy has sound, the others have it turned off.
All copies have movie features disabled (no hot keys, etc)
The two child copies have graphics set to the minimum, 640x480 or such display in window mode. I arrange it all in a triangle with the leader at top center.

I have three WOW directories, though two of them use links to share data and wtf

I then have one icon per wow client on my bar... just start them up, arrange the windows; seems all copies inherit the primaries window setting - go figure. Sign in to each account then start up clonekeys.

Okay, I was messing around with it last night, and I got it to run 4 copies, with 28-39 fps with the highest possible settings on the first (with only 2x AA though), and the rest on the lowest. However, they all had highest rez possible. It all worked out. I have a gaming computer, but I'm almost never home so it lays to waste.

    Thank you for the help!

I put an explanation of how I get two WOW clients running without having two WOW directories.

Hope it is helpful to some.

If anyone plans on multiboxing on a mac (especially a notebook) I highly recommend the utility SMCFancontrol. It's a freeware utility that adds a temp/fan speed gauge to your menu bar so you can force the fans to run faster than the SMC on the board would bu default.

Macs in general are tuned for a quieter fan rather than keeping things as cool as possible when playing 3D games, so if you want the computer to last longer and run cooler use this to crank the fans up while boxing:
