This would be my pick of that list. Paladin spec'd AoE-Protection, with the Shaman throwing chain lightning, totems, and heals. The fact that they can both heal and rez is a big plus, so combined with the Shaman's self-rez, there should only rarely be a need for a corpse run.Originally Posted by Sanctume
Personally, I loved my paladin/mage combo more than any other pair I worked on. The only downside is it's rather slow to level until you can AoE with the paladin starting around level 30, and the mage can't rez at all unless he's an engineer. With a paladin spec'd AoE-Protection, health can be maintained while the mage uses AoE for a group attacking the paladin, or CC/nuke on smaller fights. This pair can handle much larger groups of mobs than the paladin/shaman combo. Imagine gathering up 15 with the paladin, using typical AoE-spec skills and talents (Redoubt, Reckoning, Judgement/Seal of Light, Retribution Aura, Blessing of Sanctuary, Consecrate), decent gear focused on stamina and strength for reducing damage taken (high armor/shield and especially shield spike), and once he's got solid aggro, flamestrike/blizzard till death. Plus, you get the benefit of unlimited water & portals, with a wide range of useful skills - cleanse/remove curse, counterspell, sheep, etc. Make the mage an engineer to jumper cable your paladin in case of death.![]()
